Students majoring in Political Science benefit from the second degree program offered by Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Accordingly, students can pursue a second university degree at faculties/institutes of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, as well as at several member universities of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, such as the University of Law, the University of Education, and the University of Foreign Languages.
As a program accredited by the international AUN, the Political Science major offers students a significant advantage: those graduating with a "Good" grade will be directly admitted to master's programs, while those graduating with an "Excellent" grade will be directly admitted to doctoral programs.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quoc Thanh:The Bachelor of Political Science program includes 10 credits for internships and practical training. This is a crucial component, comprising two modules: professional internship and graduation internship.
Every year, the school organizes internships for students at businesses and government agencies in various localities. Through these internships, students acquire new knowledge and gain rich practical experience. The students are all very enthusiastic and eager to participate in these internship and practical activities.
In the Department of Political Science, how do faculty members implement innovative teaching methods to bring a fresh perspective to their lectures?
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quoc Thanh:Innovating teaching methods is a regular task for faculty members in the department, aiming to deliver lectures to students in the most engaging and interesting way, while also improving the faculty's expertise.
The teachers have proactively innovated their teaching methods, engaged in discussions with students, updated their teaching with modern technology, and involved students in this innovation process.
Where are former Political Science students currently working? How do employers assess the quality of Political Science graduates from VNU-USSH?
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quoc Thanh:The Department of Political Science is very proud of its students and alumni. While still in university, they actively participate in academic activities and scientific research. After graduation, Political Science students are quickly recruited by corporations, businesses, and public organizations. They are highly valued for their expertise, work skills, and high sense of responsibility.
Political Science students have a significant advantage when they are proactive in their studies, actively research materials and exchange ideas with lecturers, take initiative in internships, and participate in social activities. This is an important foundation for them to seize good job opportunities when they possess a Bachelor's degree in Political Science.
Job opportunities for Political Science graduates are very broad. They can work in agencies within the Vietnamese political system, corporations, businesses; press and media agencies; or as lecturers at universities, colleges, and vocational schools teaching political theory and subjects related to political science.

Political Science students have many advantages in international exchange with students at major universities around the world. The Department of Political Science has cooperative relationships with partners from South Korea, Japan, China, the United States, the Russian Federation, etc., with regular faculty and student exchange activities.
Currently, there are three foreign professors from South Korea, India, and Germany lecturing at the department and participating in programs to support students in their studies, research, internships, and practical training.
