Tourism and Travel Services Management, Faculty of Tourism Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU is one of the first and most prestigious training majors in the tourism sector in Vietnam. However, many people still have a simple idea that: Studying Tourism is to become a tour guide. That makes many young people miss the opportunity to pursue a major with great development potential and especially suitable for today's dynamic and creative generation.
What is special about the Bachelor of Tourism and Travel Services Management program?
Students of Tourism and Travel Services Management at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities not only learn how to build tourism programs or explain at destinations, but also learn a variety of knowledge groups such as:
- Knowledge of culture, history, geography;
- Knowledge of tour guiding and operations;
- Knowledge of travel business administration;
- Knowledge of event organization, communication and marketing in the tourism sector;
- Knowledge of destination management, service management at hotels, resorts and accommodation facilities.
In addition, the curriculum also focuses on innovative subjects, technology application, and startups such as Digital Travel Business... These are innovative factors, in line with the development trend of modern tourism.
The training program also has courses to help students practice soft skills such as communication skills, independent and teamwork skills, time management skills, etc. In addition, foreign language skills are also focused on with teaching English for tourism, guiding students to learn a second foreign language such as Chinese, Korean, Japanese, etc. to help students confidently work in non-governmental organizations, in an international environment.
What is the admission score for Tourism and Travel Services Management?
Regarding the admission scores in recent years, Dr. Vu Huong Lan said that the Tourism and Travel Services Management major at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities always has a high entrance score compared to the general level due to the prestige and quality of the curriculum and the experienced teaching staff.
In 2024, the Tourism and Travel Services Management industry will have admission standards of 25.61 points for group A01; 25.99 points for group D01; 26.74 points for group D78; and 28.58 points for group C00.

Students of Tourism and Travel Services Management not only study in the classroom but also learn practically through domestic and international trips, and receive vocational training at prestigious travel agencies and events in the industry.
It can be said that the internship and practical activities of students of the Faculty of Tourism Studies are always at the top of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Internship trips - General internships - Specialized internships are organized periodically, helping students have the opportunity to experience culture, history, life, products, and services at famous tourist destinations at home and abroad such as: Central Heritage Road, Western River Delta, China, Thailand... In each trip, students are guided to practice the process of building a tourism program, connecting services, organizing events... to practice skills, observe, learn and accumulate professional experience.

The Faculty of Tourism Studies has established cooperative relationships with many prestigious universities in the world such as Toulouse Le Mirail University (France), Rikkyo University (Japan), Munich University of Applied Sciences (Germany), Guangxi University, Sun Yat-sen University (China)... Through student exchange programs, international seminars and a series of research projects, students of the Faculty of Tourism Studies have the opportunity to go out into the world, practice foreign language skills and improve integration capacity when entering the labor market.

Graduates of Tourism and Travel Services Management can work in the public sector (Department of Tourism, Tourism Promotion Center, Monument Management Board, etc.), take on various positions and have many career development opportunities.
As for the private sector such as tourism businesses, job opportunities for students are also very diverse, with positions such as:
- Tour operator, tourism product designer;
- Communication specialist, PR, event organizer;
- Sales and tourism marketing specialist;
- Customer service management;

In particular, the new point of this year's training program is the introduction of a new major in Tourism Economics.
