The National High School Student Competition has long been an important competition for high school students nationwide, serving as a basis for assessing the quality of talent training of specialized high schools. In the 2021-2022 school year, the first year with a team participating, the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities has achieved great success with three second prizes and one third prize. Following the great success of the 2021-2022 school year, in this year's competition, the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities has selected the school's 6 best representatives to participate in the National High School Student Competition taking place on February 24.
During the ceremony, teachers and students of the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities, along with teachers and staff of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, offered incense to President Ho Chi Minh and the martyrs who were cadres and students of Hanoi National University who joined the army and protected the Fatherland at the School's Traditional Room. Offering incense to Uncle Ho and the heroic martyrs shows respect and gratitude to the generations of our ancestors who have contributed to building and protecting the country, and also shows the determination to achieve the best results in this exam.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan affirmed the importance of the National Excellent Student Exam, thereby emphasizing the responsibility of the representatives to make great efforts and bring high achievements for themselves and to enhance the tradition of the School. Principal Hoang Anh Tuan also encouraged the students to be humble, calm, confident and highly focused to complete the exam excellently.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu (Principal of the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities) also shared the great honor that the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities was established exactly 74 years after Uncle Ho signed the Decree establishing the University. Teachers and students of the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities need to make efforts to maintain that glorious tradition. On behalf of the Board of Directors of the High School for the Gifted, Principal Nguyen Quang Lieu thanked the Board of Directors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for their close attention, timely support and companionship in all activities of the School.
Principal of the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities Nguyen Quang Lieu sent words of encouragement to the teachers of the teams to continue to support and help the students in the remaining time, before they officially participate in the National Excellent Student Exam; wishing the students in the team to achieve the best results as expected by themselves, teachers, parents and the School.
Tran Phuong Linh (Grade 12 Literature) on behalf of all students of the team expressed her deep gratitude to the Board of Directors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities and the teachers who have always cared and helped her. At the same time, she also expressed her determination to try her best in the National Excellent Student Competition to improve herself and affirm the position of the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities.
