
The National High School Student Excellence Competition has long been an important competition for high school students nationwide, serving as a basis for evaluating the quality of talent training at specialized high schools. In the 2021-2022 academic year, the first year the Specialized High School for Social Sciences and Humanities participated, it achieved remarkable success with three second prizes and one third prize. Following the resounding success of the 2021-2022 academic year, the Specialized High School for Social Sciences and Humanities has selected six of its most outstanding representatives to participate in this year's National Student Excellence Competition, which will take place on February 24th.
During the ceremony, teachers and students of the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities, along with faculty members from the Board of Directors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, offered incense to President Ho Chi Minh and the martyrs who were cadres and students of Hanoi University and served in the military to defend the Fatherland at the University's Traditional Room. Offering incense to Uncle Ho and the heroic martyrs expresses respect and gratitude to the generations of ancestors who contributed to building and protecting the country, and also demonstrates a determination to achieve the best possible results in this exam.
Speaking at the send-off ceremony, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan affirmed the importance of the National Excellent Student Examination, emphasizing the responsibility of the representatives to strive for excellence and achieve high results for themselves and further enhance the school's tradition. Rector Hoang Anh Tuan also encouraged the students to be humble, calm, confident, and highly focused to complete the exam successfully.

Rector Hoang Anh Tuan and the teachers in the Board of Directors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities presented a small gift to encourage and motivate the students in the team.
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu (Principal of the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities) also shared the great honor of the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities being established exactly 74 years after President Ho Chi Minh signed the Decree establishing the University. The teachers and students of the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities need to strive to uphold that glorious tradition. On behalf of the High School's Board of Directors, Principal Nguyen Quang Lieu expressed gratitude for the close attention, companionship, and timely support of the Board of Directors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for all the school's activities.

The principal of the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities, Nguyen Quang Lieu, encouraged the teachers coaching the teams to continue supporting and assisting the students during the remaining time before they officially participate in the National High School Student Excellence Competition; wishing the students in the team the best possible results that meet the expectations of themselves, their teachers, parents, and the school.
Tran Phuong Linh (12th grade, Literature major) expressed her deepest gratitude on behalf of all the students in the team to the Board of Directors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities, and the team leaders for their continuous care and support. She also expressed her determination to do her best in the National High School Student Excellence Competition to improve herself and affirm the prestige of the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities.
