This was the content discussed and agreed upon at the working session between representatives of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and the leaders of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee on the afternoon of October 30, 2025.
The working session, chaired by Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich - Vice Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Hong Son, Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, reached consensus on many strategic cooperation contents, affirming the role and position of the University in participating in research, heritage preservation and contributing to socio-economic development in the locality.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich expressed her welcome and appreciation for the cooperation proposals from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that Gia Lai province has great potential in terms of cultural and historical heritage. The province always desires and is ready to cooperate with leading research institutions to conduct serious and systematic research. The Gia Lai provincial leaders expressed their hope that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities would support the implementation of in-depth research with high scientific and practical value.

Associate Professor Dr. Dang Hong Son, Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, discussed opportunities for cooperation to leverage the strengths of both institutions. Key areas of cooperation include comprehensive research to clarify the outstanding historical and cultural heritage values of the locality, especially the Tay Son heritage and the "treasure trove" of Champa culture. Both sides agreed on the principle of jointly organizing an international scientific conference, tentatively scheduled for June 2026.
The agreed-upon collaboration opens up opportunities for the direct application of social science and humanities research, contributing to "transforming heritage into resources" to serve socio-economic development in the locality.
