On the morning of January 31, 2026, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held a conference to conduct a vote of confidence for individuals nominated for the 17th awarding of the titles of People's Teacher and Excellent Teacher – 2026.

Within the framework of the Digital Skills to Succeed (DS2S) project funded by GIZ (Germany), the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (USSH) officially participates in the implementation of a system of open online courses (MOOCs) and faculty training programs on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data, and Digital Entrepreneurship.

To meet the requirements of operating a two-tiered government and building a modern, flexible administration based on information technology applications, the Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Ky Lua Ward, Lang Son Province (with the Political Center as the coordinating body) collaborated with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (with the Faculty of Political Science as the coordinating body) to organize a training course on "Knowledge Enhancement in Science and Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation" for 200 officials and civil servants in 9 communes/wards of Lang Son Province.

On January 30, 2025, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (USSH), held a meeting with Mr. Lewe Paul, Head Representative of KAS Vietnam, and Ms. Pham Thi To Hang, Program Manager. During their working visit to Japan at the end of January 2026, the delegation of leaders from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, led by Professor Hoang Anh Tuan - Rector, held important working sessions with Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (TUFS) and Kanda University of International Studies (KUIS). At these meetings, the parties reached a high level of consensus on strategies for developing interdisciplinary training and international-level academic publication cooperation.

This activity is part of a series of regular university admissions counseling programs for 2026 organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) for high school students.

As part of the 2026 college admissions and career guidance program organized by Tuoi Tre Newspaper, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU Hanoi) and other member universities of VNU Hanoi participated in admissions counseling in Phu Tho and Ninh Binh provinces on January 24-25, 2026, attracting the attention of a large number of local students and parents.

On the afternoon of January 26, 2026, at the headquarters in Tokyo, Mr. Shinya Kurosawa, President of the Japan Foundation, held a strategic meeting with a delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi). The delegation was welcomed by Professor Yi Yonggang, Vice Rector of Shanghai Foreign Language University.

The delegation was welcomed by Professor Kuai Shuquang, Head of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department and representatives from relevant units of East China Normal University.

On the morning of January 22, 2026, a delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, led by Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector, officially launched a cooperation agreement with Zhejiang University of Foreign Studies, China. The delegation was welcomed by Professor Zhang Huanzhou, Party Secretary and President of Zhejiang University.

On January 21, 2025, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (USSH) received and held a working meeting with a delegation from Shandong University (China).
