The closing ceremony was attended by 61 international students from two universities, pursuing doctoral, master's, and bachelor's degrees. Representing the Embassy of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in Vietnam was Dr. Outhay Bannavong – First Secretary, along with several representatives of the Lao student delegation from universities in Hanoi. Representing the University of Social Sciences and Humanities were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan – Vice Rector, and representatives from the Department of Political Affairs and Student Services.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, the representative of the leadership of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities highly appreciated the solidarity, discipline, and academic efforts of the Lao students during the 2018-2019 academic year. The Lao student delegation not only completed their studies but also actively participated in activities organized by the University and the Embassy, contributing to the overall success of both institutions. The University also committed to continuing to direct relevant departments to actively support Lao students in their studies and daily lives, and especially to finding solutions to help them improve their Vietnamese language skills for better academic performance. The University representative expressed gratitude to the Lao Embassy in Vietnam for its continuous encouragement, cooperation, and support of the University's activities.

Dr. Outhay Bannavong – First Secretary – expressed his gratitude to Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan and the leadership, staff, and employees of the University for their continuous support and assistance to Lao students in their studies and daily lives. The representative from the Embassy also reminded the Lao students to be aware of their academic responsibilities and strive to improve their skills so that they can contribute to the development of their country upon their return. Furthermore, he encouraged the students to actively participate in extracurricular activities, both to enhance their communication skills and to introduce the culture of their respective countries, thereby contributing to the development of relations between the youth of Vietnam and Laos.
