During the meeting, the school's leaders and DAAD experts discussed potential areas of cooperation in student and faculty exchange, publishing, scientific research, and international publications. The two priority training areas, as presented by representatives from both sides, were Tourism and Social Work.
Professor Pham Quang Minh also introduced several forms of cooperation that the University has implemented with partners, such as joint training programs with the University of Stirling and the University of Nottingham (UK); summer joint courses with the University of Zurich (Switzerland), the Free University of Berlin (Germany); and student, lecturer, and staff exchanges under the European Union's ERASMUS+ program. Based on these proposals, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and DAAD can establish their own cooperation programs.

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is a non-profit organization established in 1925 with the goal of supporting the exchange of international students and scientists. In Vietnam, the DAAD Representative Office was opened in Hanoi in 2003. DAAD awards short-term and long-term scholarships annually; promotes internationalization in the field of science; supports the development of the German language in Vietnam through cooperation with universities; and provides advice on education, diplomacy, and development policies.
