University of Social Sciences and Humanities visited and worked with National Archives Center II

At the working session on June 8, 2025, the two sides discussed many cooperation opportunities in training and research in the field of archival studies.
Visiting and working with the National Archives Center II in Ho Chi Minh City, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU) expressed his gratitude to the Center's Board of Directors for their active support over the years in providing documents to many lecturers, scientists, and graduate students, contributing to improving the quality of scientific research and training of the University. In addition, the University's leaders expressed their hope that the National Archives Center II will support the University in receiving students to practice archival work.
The University of Social Sciences and Humanities is a pioneer in research and training in archival studies. Over the years, the University has provided a large number of high-quality human resources at the bachelor, master, and doctoral levels, and has trained and fostered professional expertise for archival staff in many provinces and cities across the country.
Besides, the School is also very interested in archival resources, especially archival resources abroad.
At the meeting, Mr. Pham Ngoc Hung (Deputy Director of the National Archives Center II) shared information about archival sources about Vietnam abroad. The Center's representative hoped that the two sides would cooperate in exploiting the value and publishing archival sources. In addition, the two sides will cooperate in organizing conferences and seminars, promoting the value of archival documents for the cause of building and defending the country in the new situation.
Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities); Assoc. Dr. Nguyen Truong Giang (Head of the Department of Anthropology and Religious Studies) presented souvenirs to the leaders of the National Archives Center II.
