The meeting was attended by Dr. Dang Hoang Anh - Vice President of the Vietnam Education Trade Union, Dr. Dang Cong Huong - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Bac Ninh province, Ms. Tran Thi Ngoc Thuy - Director of OCOP Center Trading and Service Company Limited, and invited guests representing OCOP businesses in Vietnam.
Representing the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, were Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Rector of the university, along with leaders of the university's Trade Union, leaders of functional departments and faculties/institutes/centers.
Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, shared the aspirations of VNU-USSH scientists in collaborating with and supporting local businesses.
At the meeting, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, stated that there is a common ground between OCOP businesses and VNU-USSH in developing regional specialty products, aiming to fulfill social responsibility and spread Vietnamese cultural and humanistic values domestically and internationally.
As a university with strengths in research and training in social sciences and humanities, VNU-USSH has transferred scientific research results to many organizations and businesses. Scientists from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will collaborate with OCOP Center Trading and Service Company Limited in implementing programs to support local businesses.
Dr. Dang Hoang Anh, Vice President of the Vietnam Education Trade Union, shared that the Education Trade Union is implementing activities to connect with organizations and businesses in order to exploit and transfer scientific research into practice.
Dr. Dang Cong Huong, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Bac Ninh province, welcomed the scientists from VNU-USSH to conduct scientific research projects on the development of agricultural culture and economy in Bac Ninh.
Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huyen - Deputy Director of the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training - proposed cooperation with businesses in researching, consulting on brand development and exporting national brand products, as well as supporting students in internships and practical training.
During the meeting, the two units agreed to jointly establish and encourage cooperation in training, internships, recruitment, and other activities. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities was selected as the connecting point to support localities in the transfer of scientific and technical knowledge, brand building, business management, improving human resource quality, and marketing of goods and services – including OCOP products from local areas; contributing to the promotion of production and commercialization of OCOP products. The university's team of experts, scientists, and lecturers with deep expertise and extensive experience in social sciences and humanities fields such as culture, history, tourism, and communication will collaborate with the OCOP Center to implement projects supporting local businesses.
On the part of the organizations and businesses affiliated with the OCOP Center, they will accept students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for internships and practical experience; and recruit outstanding students from the university to work in their businesses. In addition, the businesses hope to provide financial support and scholarships for high-achieving students from the university.

Ms. Tran Thi Ngoc Thuy - Director of OCOP Center Trading and Service Co., Ltd. - expressed her sincere gratitude to the leaders of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for creating opportunities for OCOP businesses to get closer to the university, leading to effective cooperation in developing brands and high-quality products of businesses and localities.
Ms. Tran Thi Ngoc Thuy believes that, with the school's abundant team of experts and student resources, it will certainly be of great help to people and cooperatives in building strong brands and connecting high-quality products to consumers, helping localities develop in a sustainable direction.
Both sides hope to see more substantive cooperation activities following the signing ceremony.
