The workshop was the opening event of a series of professional activities for the project, with the participation of nearly 80 experts, scientists, and researchers from the National Academy of Public Administration, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU), the University of Interior Affairs, the Information Center of the Ministry of Interior Affairs, the Institute of State Organization Science, the Journal of State Organization, the State Archives and Records Department, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, and representatives from the National Archives Office.

Dr. Dang Xuan Hoan - Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the National Academy of Public Administration, and Deputy Head of the National Task Force in the field of Public Administration - delivered the opening remarks at the workshop.
Speaking at the workshop, Dr. Dang Xuan Hoan - Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the National Academy of Public Administration, and Deputy Head of the National Research Task in the field of Public Administration - emphasized the importance of the task and the role of cooperation between the National Academy of Public Administration and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU) in achieving the objectives of this particularly significant research task.

Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim - Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, delivered a speech at the conference.
Also at the opening session, Professor Nguyen Van Kim, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU), highly appreciated the efforts of the research group implementing the National Research Project in the field of Administration in proactively and actively developing research content to clarify the appearance of the administrative system in Vietnam; the typical activities and achievements of the Vietnamese administration in the 21st century with modern approaches and research methods.

Associate Professor Dr. Dao Thanh Truong, Head of the component task "Research and development of the National Geographical Encyclopedia of Vietnam: Administrative Volume", presented the introductory report at the workshop.
On behalf of the Task Force, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thanh Truong - Director of the Institute of Policy and Management, Head of the Faculty of Management Science, and Head of the sub-task "Research and Development of the National Gazetteer of Vietnam: Administrative Volume" - presented the introductory report, providing the most general information about the topic. The report outlined the following discussion points: the method of compiling the four volumes; the method of presenting the content of the chapters and sections according to the standards of the National Gazetteer of Vietnam; the approach and methods for compiling the content of the sections; the approach and methods for compiling sample sections (trial writing); and current administrative issues in Vietnam as reflected in the National Gazetteer.

Associate Professor Hoang Mai - National Academy of Public Administration presented a report at the conference.
The workshop heard six presentations from speakers on topics such as: contemporary Vietnamese administrative issues serving the compilation of the National Geographic Atlas of Vietnam in the administrative field; an overview of administrative reform in Vietnam; approaches and methods for compiling sample entries (trial writing) for the Administrative volume… The content of the reports attracted considerable attention from experts during the discussion session. Scientists and researchers exchanged many opinions and contributed to the project's steering committee on approaches and methods for compiling the National Geographic Atlas of Vietnam in the administrative field.

Professor Nguyen Van Khanh – Chairman of the Science and Training Council, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, former Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, delivered a speech at the discussion session.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the project team outlined the direction for the project's implementation in the coming period and expressed their expectation that the research results would meet the set objectives and receive the support of the numerous scientists and experts attending the workshop. The workshop affirmed the effective collaboration between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU), the National Academy of Public Administration, and leading research units in public administration science and organizations in Vietnam in cooperating on research and implementation of national-level projects.
