“When I took the university entrance exam, I chose the Faculty of International Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities. And that was a wise choice. 4 years of studying at the University, at the Faculty of International Studies, helped satisfy the passion for exploring new lands for someone who loves to “travel” like me.
The biggest impression that left me was the teachers. The teachers were extremely dedicated, open-minded, and always willing to share with students freely. I deeply respect and love Mr. Hoang Khac Nam - Head of the International Studies Department. He is the idol of many generations of students, including me. I remember clearly his advice: “People only make mistakes because of two things. The first is greed. The second is ignorance…”.
I always think that I should live each day to the fullest, be happy each day, contribute each day and do what I like, explore new places to enrich my life. I do not put much emphasis on studying and achievements. I consider studying simply as a way to experience. Maybe that is why I absorb knowledge quite easily.
I quite enjoy participating in extracurricular activities such as volunteering, being an interpreter, becoming an exchange student at summer camps, etc. All of these things have helped me gain more experience and become more mature.
I really like Albert Einstein's motto: "Life is like riding a bicycle, to keep your balance you must keep pedaling." That is what I always keep in mind when walking on the path I have chosen.”.

“I am an extrovert, I like to travel and be active. It took me four years of college to build the school’s dance club – the Peace Crew dance group. When others look at me, they might think that dancing will make me neglect my studies, so I have to work even harder to change that way of thinking. I am also the class monitor, so I always have to put my studies and class activities first.
In my opinion, a good leader is someone who understands all the members of his organization. I feel lucky to have everyone's trust and support during my time as a class monitor or club leader. But I also have to try to understand everyone and be clear in resolving internal conflicts.
My plan after graduation is to continue my studies. My immediate goal is to do a PhD in Vietnam and later, if I have the conditions, I will go to graduate school abroad. My dream is to be able to stick with research and teaching.”.

“I love English very much. My current job requires me to use English a lot during work, so I have the opportunity to apply and learn more about this language. Although it is just an internship, this job will help me accumulate experience to reach further goals. For me, the title of valedictorian is a great motivation for me to try to study further. However, that is only the first step, creating favorable conditions for me to take the next steps, not everything.
In the future, I plan to study for a Master's degree and when I get the necessary English certificates, I will try to get a scholarship to study abroad in the US or Canada.”.
