On behalf of the Government, Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long commended and congratulated the achievements of generations of teachers and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, making practical contributions to the development of the country.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized: In the new stage of national development, with its position as a leading center of social sciences and humanities nationwide, the university needs to continue to lead in basic science research and training, contributing to preserving and developing fundamental cultural values, while opening up new approaches in training, research, and policy consulting.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested that the university continue to strongly innovate its training and development model, linking basic and applied sciences; develop specialized and interdisciplinary programs, both full-time and short-term, to train and cultivate individuals with strong political convictions, profound scientific thinking, and effective practical skills.
Furthermore, it is essential to promote high-quality scientific research, especially works with theoretical and practical value that directly serve the process of formulating the Party and State's guidelines and policies. Actively participate in strategic consulting in the fields of culture, society, education, media, social governance, and people-to-people diplomacy, contributing to firmly safeguarding the Party's ideological foundation and guiding public opinion.
Schools need to actively participate in the development and implementation of the Central Committee's resolutions on culture and education; cultivate national values, family values, and Vietnamese human values; proactively advise on cultural policies, contributing to making culture truly an intrinsic strength and a driving force for the sustainable development of the country.
The school also needs to continue to play a pioneering role in humanistic digital transformation. At the same time, it should proactively integrate internationally to become a reputable institution in global academic cooperation, while maintaining its identity, proactively absorbing the best of humanity, enriching itself, and spreading Vietnamese intelligence to the world.

According to the new development orientation, Hanoi National University is identified as the nucleus of the "Knowledge Hub," closely linked with the "Technology Hub" in Hoa Lac. In this context, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is a crucial knowledge base for the strategy of human development, preserving national cultural values, and affirming its role as a center of culture, knowledge, science, technology, and innovation for the Capital and the country.

The Rector of Vietnam National University, Hanoi proposed that the Government and relevant ministries and agencies pay more attention to investing in the social sciences and humanities, considering it a core pillar in the development of modern Vietnamese people. At the same time, he requested that Vietnam National University, Hanoi and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities be allowed to pilot special mechanisms and superior autonomy, creating conditions for the development of a large academic body, attracting talent, promoting strategic research, and achieving comprehensive autonomy.
In addition, the Government and ministries are increasing the commissioning of policy advisory tasks for the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
