Nong Huyen Thuong was born in 2001 and is currently a psychology student. Through continuous effort and dedication, she, who initially described herself as "quite shy," transformed herself and excelled, reaching the first runner-up position in The Face USSH 2001 competition.

Speaking about her reasons for participating in the competition, Huyen Thuong shared: “I learned about The Face USSH in 2020. At that time, my friends encouraged me to participate, but I kept hesitating. This year, I finally decided to compete to experience many different facets of school activities. Another important reason is that I really love the competition's theme.”Shining Heart"

Regarding the competition, Thuong shared that she faced considerable pressure. For her, the biggest challenge was balancing her time and completing her entry within the organizers' deadline. Besides participating in the competition, she also had to maintain her studies and part-time job… Most of the entries were conceived and executed by her own efforts, and she sometimes needed help from acquaintances.
Sharing her experience participating in The Face USSH, Thuong said that the most impressive part was the Goodwill Ambassador round. “After a long and laborious preparation process, I received feedback from the students that my presentation was very meaningful. At that moment, I was so happy. I felt like I was bringing positive and beneficial values to people.”
Huyen Thuong once struggled to balance her personal work and participation in the competition.
Huyen Thuong recounted the moment she was announced as the runner-up of the competition, which overwhelmed her with emotion. She said that she was quite shy compared to many of her friends and that deciding to participate in the competition had changed her a lot. She said that contestants needed not only good looks but also to possess intelligence, physical fitness, beauty, and many other skills.
Huyen Thuong said the program provided her with an opportunity to learn from others and improve herself.
Reflecting on her victory, Huyen Thuong believes she has strived beyond her inherent abilities. “I think the factors contributing to my success can be summed up in three things: perseverance, support, and effort. That includes a determined spirit of not giving up, the support of others, and most importantly, my own relentless effort.”
