The #MESSAGE4DIGIGEN - MESSAGE FOR THE DIGITAL GENERATION contest is an activity within the framework ofProject to Enhance Digital Skills for High School and University StudentsThis project is a collaborative effort between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH), Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and Meta (formerly Facebook). The project targets young people with passion, creativity, and interest in digital technology, aiming to build a safe, healthy, and positive digital environment. In addition to this competition, Meta is working closely with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in developing a digital competency framework for students (this is the first complete digital competency framework in Vietnam - see here).HERE), a handbook on developing digital skills for young people, a course on digital skills in the Information Management program, and the organization of scientific seminars on developing digital skills and digital citizenship. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Meta are moving towards deeper cooperation in the field of developing digital skills for young people in Vietnam.

The competition was organized by Vietnam National University, Hanoi, hosted by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and implemented by the USSH Digital Me Club and the Student Union of the Faculty of Information and Library Science. On November 15, 2021, the #MESSAGE4DIGIGEN - MESSAGE FOR THE DIGITAL GENERATION competition officially launched. With the contributions of advisors, experts, judges, sponsors, reputable partners, and strong support from students across the country, the competition successfully concluded after nearly three months and found a truly deserving champion. The final night was filmed live and streamed on social media platforms. The competition generated a huge buzz with over 4,400 online views and nearly 1,000 comments and discussions expressing support for the contestants.

Principal Hoang Anh Tuan, Head of the Project Coordination Board, delivered a speech at the competition.
Through this competition, we aim to provide students with new experiences regarding current digital transformation trends; disseminate knowledge to raise awareness of digital skills, different types of digital skills, and the role of digital skills for young people; and equip students with essential skills to interact in a safe, positive, and responsible digital environment.
In the end, the champion title went to the BLACK BEES team – the hardworking black bees with their "seesaw" and their journey to find balance between real and virtual life. The two runner-up positions went to S-CTI – talented leaders with their story about social media or "losing social media," and WE20 – ambitious young women with a cautionary message about the importance of digital identity. The audience favorite team was the Fearless Seagulls team.

After the journey to find the top positions in the competition, the top 3 teams will need to realize their plans and convey and spread meaningful and practical messages to the community.

With incredibly meaningful and humane messages, the competition#MESSAGE4DIGIGEN - A MESSAGE FOR THE DIGITAL GENERATIONThe competition has officially concluded, but it has provided us with many new experiences and allowed us to discover meaningful and creative messages from the students. The competition was an opportunity for young people to freely develop their abilities and pursue their passions, bringing positive messages to the digital community in the digital age.
