Dinh Thi Hai Yen, born in 2001, from Hai Phong, is currently a third-year student majoring in CLC Information Management - Faculty of Information - Library. Sharing about her expectations before the competition, she said: "Yen joined the program because she simply wanted to position herself in a light that had never been shined before, hoping that the light from her heart could touch everyone's heart."
In the talent competition at the final night of “The Face USSH 2021”, Hai Yen chose to perform the song “Heal the world” - Michael Jackson. Notably, the Vietnamese lyrics were composed by her, in line with the content of thanking the “white-shirt soldiers”, spreading the message of Joining hands to repel Covid, protecting the earth.
After the competition, Hai Yen continued to focus on studying and preparing for internships at businesses. She also had a year of internship experience at Tinasoft Vietnam, while still trying to balance her own activities and plans.

Not only possessing a beautiful appearance, Hai Yen is also a girl passionate about singing. Currently, the female student holds the position of vocalist at the Guitar Club of Humanities (UGC) and the Arts Club of the Faculty of Law (AC).

“UGC and AC are two places that I trust to put my passion into. Everyone is extremely talented and wonderful, they are as familiar as Yen's family!” - Hai Yen feels happy to meet many people who share the same passion, develop together, and satisfy her passion.
The female student often participates in music shows such as Hello New Students, Charity Music Night organized by Hai Phong Association of Foreign Trade University, programs of the Faculty of Information - Library, and Impasto Show at Hidden Club. In addition, she also dubs and acts in the trailer for the show “HANOI, YOU AND I” of the Guitar Club of Nhan Van.
Through these opportunities, Hai Yen practiced more enthusiastically, forgetting her fatigue because of happiness, helping her realize new values of herself. However, at the present time, Yen's orientation is not for music but to maintain it as nurturing her own spirit.
With a heavy workload, sometimes Yen also loses balance and gets stressed. At those times, Yen gives herself a day to rest, eat, and listen to music. “Because Yen thinks that basically everything that happens has its reason. I am too young to lose balance and get tired, so Yen knows how to regain her spirit very quickly. After a day of rest, Yen doubles her energy to work.”
One of the things that makes Yen extremely proud is her family. She shared that her parents and brother always follow her every activity and enthusiastically support her every choice. Her father is a soldier, meticulous in raising children, her mother is a friend, sharing all her joys and sorrows. Her family is a strong spiritual support that helps her overcome many difficulties in life.
Recently, Hai Yen has also been involved in modeling for clothing brands.
Adding more motivation to the young people, Hai Yen said: “We are still young, when we have the opportunity, don’t be shy, try to express yourself, explore your abilities and qualities as much as possible. Beauty is not only in appearance, beauty also lies deep in your soul and spirit. Everyone is beautiful in their own way, discover yourself and let yourself shine.”
