Dialogue between School Leaders and Students 2021

On December 30th, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities organized a combined in-person and online dialogue session with the participation of over 178 students representing the entire student body.
Attending the program were the School's Board of Directors, leaders of functional units and departments, heads of faculties and departments, training assistants, student affairs assistants, academic advisors, and members of the Standing Committee of the Youth Union and Student Association.

The dialogue between the school's leadership and students is an annual activity aimed at providing an opportunity for students from all years and majors to express their thoughts and aspirations during their studies and training. The school's leaders listen to students' concerns and answer their questions, while also providing information about the school's policies, directions, and development. Furthermore, student suggestions and initiatives can lead to appropriate adjustments in management.

During the dialogue session, 61 questions were submitted by students to the Board of Directors and representatives from various functional departments such as the Dormitory Management Board, the VNU Hospital, the Training Department, the Planning and Finance Department, the Political and Student Affairs Department, the Youth Union and Student Association, and the National Defense Education Center. The questions focused on practical issues such as: regulations and policies on tuition fee collection and support; living and accommodation conditions in the dormitory; the mechanism for admitting students into the Party; regulations on borrowing and using materials at the digital library; the registration process for credit-based courses; and the implementation of teaching and learning in the upcoming semester…
The questions were answered clearly and directly. For any further clarifications, the teachers will continue to discuss them with the students after the dialogue session.

Professor Hoang Anh Tuan delivered the concluding remarks.
 
In his concluding remarks, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan (Rector of the University) commended the efforts of the faculty and students during the recent difficult period, and expressed his hope that the faculty and students would continue to work together to successfully complete the tasks of the next academic year. The University will continue to cooperate with units within the Vietnam National University, Hanoi to promote and create breakthroughs in student support to provide the best possible learning and training conditions for students.
Rector Hoang Anh Tuan also expressed hope that the epidemic would soon be brought under control so that the school could welcome students back to the lecture halls. During that time, the school is committed to maintaining the smooth operation of the online teaching and learning system, ensuring that the learning process is stable and uninterrupted.
