Student Nguyen Ngoc Linh won first prize in the 2019 Golden Microphone Competition.

Mic Vàng 2019 is a talent search competition for MCs organized by the Youth Union and Student Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Hanoi. The Mic Vàng 2019 Grand Finale officially concluded on the evening of May 8th with a multitude of emotions. This was a celebration of talent, passion, and enthusiasm from the students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in the field of MCing.

At the Golden Mic final, the audience enjoyed outstanding performances from the TOP 5 and interacted with the judging panel, which included experienced MCs and journalists: MC Thao Van, journalist Ngo Ba Luc, MC Cao Kim Ngan, journalist and director Dinh Tien Hoang, and MC Trong Huy.

Candidate Pham Tuan Anh (K60 Psychology, Candidate Number 022)

The first contestant to perform was Pham Tuan Anh, contestant number 022, with the theme "What does society say about me, or what do I say about myself?", using a pair of shoes as his chosen object. After sharing a heartwarming anecdote, Tuan Anh introduced a modern dance performance by PEACE CREW.

Candidate Trang Linh (University of Education, VNU Hanoi, Candidate Number: 017)

Next up was contestant Trang Linh (Contestant Number: 017), who appeared with a packet of instant noodles and the theme "What is the Standard of Beauty?". Her performance conveyed a profound message about self-confidence in one's own beauty. To clarify this message, Trang Linh presented a very meaningful video.

Contestant Cam Thi Hang (K60, Institute of Journalism and Communication Training, Contestant Number: 015) presented her entry on the theme: Personality or eccentricity?

Contestant Cam Thi Hang (Contestant Number: 015) continued the program with a Q&A session with Mr. Tran Duc Hoa (lecturer in the Faculty of Information and Library Science) on the topic "Personality or Eccentricity?". Cam Hang interacted flexibly with both the speaker and the audience in the hall to deliver the message "Be confident in showing your uniqueness".

Candidate Ha Phuong (K62 Religious Studies, Candidate Number: 023)

In the next segment, themed "Glorious Labor," contestant Ha Phuong (Contestant No. 023), using a water bottle as a prop, reminded the audience of the importance of all professions in life. Her natural presentation style and distinctive Southern accent attracted much attention from the audience.

Candidate Ngoc Linh (K62, Institute of Journalism and Communication Training, Candidate Number: 029)

The final performer was contestant Nguyen Ngoc Linh (Contestant Number: 029). Choosing the box containing a family photo with the theme "Where do you come from?", Ngoc Linh left a lasting impression on the audience with her statement: "The starting point and the destination of each individual are family."

To conclude the competition night, the following outstanding names were announced:

  • Third Prize: Nguyen Giang Ha Phuong
  • Promising Talent Award: Cam Thi Hang, Tran Trang Linh

  • The Most Impressive Award, selected by NTT Ngoc Diep Beauty: Nguyen Ngoc Linh
