Saturday - March 12, 2022 22:10
The Institute of Journalism and Communication Training is one of the two largest journalism and communication training and research institutions in Vietnam, offering three levels of education from bachelor's to doctoral degrees in Journalism. Currently, the Institute offers three majors: Journalism, High-Quality Journalism, and Public Relations.
At the Institute of Humanities Journalism, you will study and develop in an extremely dynamic and creative environment. The journalists in the field are very versatile and always have a very insightful view of life around them. Don't be surprised if you suddenly come across a student walking around the campus muttering: "I am... of 24h News" or "Thank you for listening," because that's a student from the Institute of Journalism. Let's see what the students of the Institute of Journalism have to say about SJC and their major!

Le Giang - K66 Journalism: “When mentioning journalism, everyone probably thinks of the best universities for this field like AJC, USSH, HUC, etc. Personally, I find the journalism program at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities very dynamic and vibrant, with many activities for students to participate in. And one special thing is that the professors at the Institute of Journalism in particular, and the professors at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in general, are very lovely, friendly, and also very caring towards students. The learning environment is also very nice; I feel overwhelmed by the many students my age who are very good in different fields. Be confident in yourselves, choose what you like, but make sure it suits your abilities. Come to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, you'll love the professors here!”

Hoang Ngoc Lan - K65 Journalism: “For me, the Institute of Journalism is home. Coming to the Institute of Journalism was a very special opportunity, and I am proud to study at this school and in this major. I am truly happy to have interacted with many teachers and senior students, all of whom are incredibly talented and successful. Through them, I realize I must strive even harder to improve myself. The Institute of Journalism will always be the best!”

Doan Thu Thuy - K66 Journalism CLC: “Although the Institute of Journalism wasn't my first choice at first, after learning about the curriculum, the learning environment, and the students at the Faculty of Humanities, I decided to put the Institute of Journalism as my first choice. After one semester, I'm truly proud to be a student at the Institute of Journalism. Go ahead and apply to the CLC Journalism program, guys! The students in the CLC Journalism class are amazing. It's so much fun!”

Nguyen Viet Tung - K65 Journalism: “My first impression of the Institute of Journalism was about the lecturers; they were all very enthusiastic in teaching and cared deeply about the students. Next, I was impressed by the dedication of the senior students. The Institute and the senior students made great efforts to organize many activities to help new students quickly integrate into the university and showcase their abilities. Regarding the major, I see it as a field with great potential for future career opportunities and advancement. In short, I love the university, the Institute, and the Journalism major very much.”

Nguyen Linh Chi - K65 Journalism: “For me, the Institute of Journalism is where I can truly be myself. The Institute of Journalism is the clearest manifestation of my efforts from my high school days to my time as a journalism student. I've heard quite a few criticisms from people when they learned I was pursuing journalism and media studies. I thought about it a lot, but every time I remember the passionate people at the Institute of Journalism, I gain more motivation to continue on the path I've chosen. That's it, the Institute of Journalism is the driving force that makes me better every time I think about it.”

Nguyen Vi Thuy Huong - K65 Journalism CLC: “Actually, many people think of the Institute of Journalism as a place for studying, but for me, the Institute of Journalism is the most comprehensive playground for self-development, from academics to soft skills and relationships. As for my major, it was just a coincidence because it wasn't my choice. But once I joined, I realized this is the best environment for personal growth.”

Le Phuong Thao - K66 Journalism: “Becoming a student at the Institute of Journalism of the University of Humanities is a great stroke of luck and a turning point in my life. Although the first semester had to be online due to the pandemic, the teachers and senior students were all very enthusiastic in helping and creating favorable conditions for new students like us. I am very proud and grateful to be studying and working in such a wonderful environment. Here, you don't have to worry about being single, you just have to worry about falling too much in love with the Institute of Journalism!”

Nguyen Thuy Linh - K66 Public Relations: “I was very active in high school, so I also aimed to study and work in the field of Public Relations. I was accepted into both NEU and USSH, but I chose to study at USSH because my house is close to the school and the learning environment also piqued my curiosity. I was most impressed by the professors at the Institute of Journalism; they are very talented, dedicated to their profession, and understand the psychology of students. I really enjoyed studying the specialized subjects, hehe. Besides that, I also did research and found that the field of public relations has many interesting and practical topics with high applicability.”
My advice to the students is to take care of their health during this crucial period, choose their major first, then their university, not the other way around. Don't put too much pressure on what you study to find a job after graduation. What's important is that you're genuinely interested in it and that it suits you."

Vu Duc Anh - K65 Journalism CLC: “I think that the Institute of Journalism is a place that trains outstanding journalists. To put it a bit poetically, many of my predecessors who graduated from the Institute of Journalism have been very successful. And I am truly honored to be studying in such a good environment. Regarding my major, I think the Institute of Journalism and the future of journalism chose me when I initially applied to a different university, but I was accepted into the journalism program at the University of Humanities. This makes me even more proud to have been accepted into my favorite major and, more importantly, into the university I dreamed of attending since I was a high school student.”

Bui Hong Hanh - K64 Public Relations: “I originally chose PR with a passion for event organizing, but I didn't expect PR to be such a fascinating field. The more I learn about it, the more I'm captivated by its vibrancy and creativity. The Institute of Journalism and Humanities provides an ideal environment for studying this field.”

Ha Kieu Anh - K65 Public Relations shared: “As a Public Relations student, first of all, I'm proud to be studying with the incredibly talented, enthusiastic, and energetic professors at the Institute of Journalism. Secondly, I feel pressured because the Institute of Journalism has so many outstanding people, but I see this pressure as positive because being here will help everyone develop and improve significantly. Finally, I'm grateful; everyone at the Institute of Journalism will use this word because the professors, seniors, and friends are all incredibly friendly, willing to share and help everyone in their studies and work. In conclusion, I feel fortunate to have chosen Public Relations at the Faculty of Humanities as my first choice.”
