
For the first time, candidates do not need to have studied the exact same major; simply achieving a Bachelor's degree with distinction in a relevant field will qualify them for direct admission to postgraduate programs. This policy is from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi). The direct admission period is from 8:00 AM on February 22nd to 5:00 PM on April 8th. This policy applies to 44 training programs.
Specifically, graduates with honors in fields such as Journalism, Public Relations, International Communication, Mass Communication, etc., are directly admitted to postgraduate programs in: Media and Journalism Management, Journalism (research-oriented, application-oriented).
Graduates with a Bachelor's degree in Literature or Literature Education achieving a distinction are eligible for direct admission to the Master's program in Literature. Graduates with a Bachelor's degree in Tourism and Travel Service Management, Tourism, Hotel Management, or Restaurant and Food Service Management achieving a distinction are eligible for direct admission to the Master's program in Tourism. Graduates with a distinction in Management Science, Political Science, or Law are eligible for direct admission to the Public Policy program.
In addition, a representative from the leadership of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) stated:first timeThe school applies a policy where students with a GPA of "Good" are admitted directly to the Master's program.
Accordingly, eight of the University's training programs are accredited by prestigious international accreditation organizations (AUN-QA, ABET, etc.) and Vietnamese accreditation organizations recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training, allowing full-time students in the relevant fields with a GPA of "Good" or higher to be directly admitted to postgraduate programs. Specifically, the eight programs are: Literature, Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, History, Vietnamese Studies, International Studies, and Archival Studies.
Also starting in 2022,first timeStudents who conduct scientific research will receive bonus points directly added to their cumulative GPA for direct admission consideration, with the following bonus points for scientific research:
Awarded at the Hanoi National University or Ministry of Education and Training level: first prize 0.2 points, second prize 0.15 points, third prize 0.1 points, honorable mention 0.07 points.
Awarded at the school or faculty level: first prize 0.1 point, second prize 0.07 points, third prize 0.05 points.
For scientific articles published in ISI journals: 0.3 points; articles published in Scopus/other international journals: 0.2 points; articles published in the proceedings of international/national scientific conferences/seminars: 0.15 points. 2022 was also...first yearThe University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) is implementing a new policy for doctoral admissions. Accordingly, the university will consider waiving tuition fees for doctoral candidates with outstanding research capabilities; and will also request Vietnam National University, Hanoi to grant scholarships of up to 100 million VND per person per year (12 months) based on academic and research performance during the standard training period. Interns will be considered for scholarships of up to 120 million VND per person per year (12 months).
