Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Hoang Hai, Vice President of Hanoi National University, delivered the opening speech of the online consultation session.
At the consultation session, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Hoang Hai, Vice President of VNU, shared: According to the plan, there will be 12 rounds of the National High School Graduation Exam with over 70,000 candidates in many provinces and cities. The organization process, the way of making questions, and the process of a standardized exam are aimed at gradually taking exams and enrolling students according to international practices. VNU does not organize review exams related to the HSA exam. Regarding VNU's enrollment activities in 2022, the Vice President also affirmed: "In addition to using the results of the HSA exam, VNU still maintains traditional admission methods such as direct admission, international certificates, and the 2022 graduation exam". Some new training programs will enroll students in 2022. Candidates admitted to VNU will have the opportunity to study 2 regular training programs at the same time.
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tien Thao also shared about the 2022 Competency Assessment Exam: Up to now, VNU's HSA is the only exam in Vietnam serving admissions organized on computers; candidates can proactively choose the exam session, time, location, etc. The Center has opened the registration portal for the first 6 exam sessions (session 201 - 207), with a scale of 38,000 candidates. In the coming time, we will continue to open registration for the remaining 5 sessions with a scale of about 35,000 candidates. Therefore, the number of exams is still quite large to meet the wishes of candidates. The Center will give priority to candidates who have not registered for the HSA exam for the upcoming registration sessions.
Next, the Principals of the University of Technology and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities also briefly introduced the 2022 Regular Major Enrollment Project and the training programs of the two majors. In 2022, the University of Technology plans to reserve 25% of its quota for HSA admission, and in 2022, the school will open an additional Artificial Intelligence major. The training majors of the University of Technology are always of special interest to employers. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities plans to maintain the same admission methods and enrollment quotas as last year, and in 2022, the school plans to reserve 20% of its quota for HSA admission... Majors with high admission scores include Oriental Studies, Korean Studies, and Southeast Asia. In addition to traditional majors such as History, Philosophy, and Han Nom, new majors such as Psychology, Social Work, and Hotel Management have been of special interest to candidates in recent years.
The advisory board spent most of its time directly answering questions from candidates and parents via webinar. Questions revolved around the recruitment industry, admission methods, maximum number of registrations, exam scores, etc.
In addition, questions asked in the Q&A section are also answered directly by consultants and admissions officers to help students better understand the exam they are interested in.
The consultation session lasted for nearly 2 hours, the number of questions about the HSA exam were actively answered by teachers and staff of the Organizing Committee, but could not meet all the needs of the candidates.
