On February 18, 2012, the Ho Chi Minh Prize and State Prize Award Ceremony for the year 2010 will take place. On this occasion, USSH is republishing an article by Assoc. On February 2nd, 2012, Professor Edward Bryan Tick held an exchange of experiences with lecturers from the Faculty of Journalism and Communication, Psychology, and experts from the Institute of Psychology on the topic: Post-war psychological disorder of veterans and their families (PTSD) and the role of media in this issue.

To commemorate the 65th anniversary of the death of Mr. Huynh Thuc Khang (1947 – 2012), the People's Committee of Quang Nam province plans to organize a scientific conference entitled "The Life and Career of Mr. Huynh Thuc Khang".

On January 13, 2011, an international scientific seminar on the theme "Korea-Vietnam Relations" was organized by the Center for WTO and International Studies and the Southeast Asian Research Exchange Program (SEASREP) and the Korea Institute of Southeast Asian Studies (KISEAS).

On December 16, 2012, the 3rd International Conference on "Research and Teaching of Vietnamese and Chinese Language and Culture" was held at Guangxi Nationalities University, Nanning City, China.

On December 9, 2011, a scientific seminar on the topic "Solutions for linking training and the labor market in Vietnam" was held. Attendees included education administrators from the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education, the Ministry of Education and Training, universities, institutes, and research centers. Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim, Vice Rector of the University, attended and delivered the opening remarks.

On December 4th and 5th, 2011, the 3rd International Scientific Conference on Vietnamese Studies (“Engaging with Vietnam: An Interdisciplinary Dialogue”) was held at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. This conference was co-organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) and Monash University (Australia).

A scientific workshop on the theme "The Impact of Urbanization on Rural Development: Practices and Lessons Learned" was held on November 30th. The workshop was part of the independent state-level research project "The Impact of Urbanization on Rural Development in the Period 2011-2020," led by Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Ba Thinh.

On November 26th, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Institute of Legislative Studies under the Standing Committee of the National Assembly signed a cooperation agreement. Attending the signing ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim – Vice Rector of the University, Dr. Hoang Van Tu – Deputy Director of the Institute of Legislative Studies, leaders of the Center for Policy Research and Analysis, representatives of the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation, and leaders of various functional departments.

A scientific seminar on the topic "Choosing a left-wing theoretical model for the socialist-oriented market economy in Vietnam" was jointly organized by the Center for Policy Research of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation on November 23-24.

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities cordially invites scholars to contribute papers to the conference "Media Culture in the Era of Integration," organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in collaboration with the Vietnam Journalists Association, scheduled to be held on January 10, 2012.

The list of science and technology tasks at the Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) has been approved by the VNU Board of Directors and included in the 2012 selection plan based on the advice and proposals of the disciplinary/interdisciplinary councils. The task names, research objectives, and expected products in this list serve as the basis for scientists to prepare their project proposals for implementation in 2012.
