On March 24, 2011, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Canadian Embassy in Vietnam jointly organized an international conference on the theme: “Canadian Education and Research in Vietnam: Opportunities and Prospects”.

To commemorate the 1000th anniversary of the passing of National Master Khuong Viet, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, in collaboration with the Buddhist Academy and the Vietnam Buddhist Association, organized a scientific conference entitled "National Master Khuong Viet and Vietnamese Buddhism in the early era of independence," which opened on the morning of March 18, 2011.

The international workshop "Preserving and Promoting National Identity for Sustainable Development," organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in collaboration with Bansomdej Chaopraya University (Thailand), was inaugurated on the morning of December 17, 2010.

The second international workshop "Vietnamese Studies: Interdisciplinary Research Approaches in the Context of Globalization" was jointly organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Monash University (Australia) on November 30 - December 1, 2010.

On November 30th, the scientific seminar "Promoting Vietnam's Intellectual Resources to Serve the Cause of National Development in the 21st Century" was held at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

An international scientific symposium on the theme "The Theoretical Foundations of the Left from a Marxist Perspective" was held over two days, November 25-26, in Hanoi.

This morning, November 9th, 2010, the Philosophy Department held a presentation on the late Professor Tran Duc Thao with the participation of two French scholars: Jean-Pierre Han and Jean-François Poirier.

Immediately after President Ho Chi Minh signed the Decree (October 10, 1945) establishing the Faculty of Literature, higher education administrators demonstrated a timely understanding of the training trends of the era and knew how to gradually adapt and apply them effectively, in accordance with the realities of the country at the time of the successful August Revolution. This can be clearly seen in the Decree.⁽¹⁾November 3, 1945, document from the Ministry of National Education regarding the regulations on training programs and training methods at the Faculty of Literature.⁽³⁾To commemorate the 65th anniversary of the founding of the Faculty of Literature in Hanoi, we attempt to outline the educational philosophy of higher education during that period, its vision of integration, and its significance for today.
