In his opening speech, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Vice Rector) emphasized that the workshop aims to enhance understanding among nations, raise awareness levels, and create a network for cooperation, research, and training among scientists, researchers, graduate students, and undergraduates, towards forming multi-dimensional linkages between universities. The Vice Rector also expressed hope that the workshop would expand and develop into a familiar, prestigious forum, held annually with increasing participation from scientists from many universities and countries in the region. Adopting an interdisciplinary approach, the reports at the conference focused on key areas: Vietnam's economy, politics, culture, education, and society in the context of globalization. Dr. Phan Le Ha (Monash University) presented a paper on redefining Vietnamese education through research works. Dr. Phan Le Ha particularly noted that in the current trend of globalization, changes in economics, culture, and society will impact education, posing both challenges and new opportunities and prospects. And many other presentations also discussed in detail issues in the field of education: the internationalization of Vietnamese education, reforming Vietnamese education towards international standards, issues related to teachers and students such as sharing pedagogical teaching experiences in Vietnam… In addition, many other issues directly impacting Vietnam's development in the current context of globalization also received many reports, opinions, and discussions such as: the issue of immigration in Hanoi, managing Vietnam's macroeconomic economy and financial risks in the context of globalization, opportunities and challenges for the development of Vietnam's economy today, the adaptation of the Vietnamese economy to climate change, approaching the study of Vietnam from the perspective of Southeast Asian history…
