In his opening speech, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Vice Rector) emphasized: The workshop aims to enhance understanding between nations, raise awareness and create a network of cooperation, research and training between scientists, postgraduates, graduate students and students, towards forming multi-dimensional connections between universities. At the same time, the Vice Rector expressed his hope that the workshop will expand and develop into a familiar, prestigious forum, held annually with the increasing participation of scientists from many universities and many countries in the region. From an interdisciplinary approach, the reports at the conference focused on important areas: economics - politics, culture, education, and society of Vietnam in the context of globalization. In particular, many papers discussed the field of education - one of the three main issues that former Deputy Prime Minister Vu Khoan discussed through the paper "Reviewing Vietnam's diplomatic strategy with major countries, regions and some orientations for training and research on international relations in Vietnam". According to him, one of the important factors in training and research on international relations in Vietnam is to have methods, dynamism and creativity. Dr. Phan Le Ha (Monash University) presented a paper on redefining Vietnamese education through research works. Dr. Phan Le Ha especially noted that in the current trend of globalization, changes in economy, culture, and society will have impacts on education, posing challenges as well as new opportunities and prospects for education. And many other papers also discussed in detail issues in the field of education: internationalization of Vietnamese education, reform of Vietnamese education towards international standards, issues related to teachers and learners such as sharing experiences in teaching pedagogy in Vietnam... In addition, many other issues that directly affect the development of Vietnam in the current context of globalization also received many reports, opinions and discussions such as: the issue of immigrants in Hanoi, management of Vietnam's macro economy and financial risks in the context of globalization, opportunities and challenges for the development of the current Vietnamese economy, adaptation of the Vietnamese economy to climate change, approaching Vietnam research from the perspective of Southeast Asian history...
