University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU Hanoi

The list of science and technology tasks at the Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) has been approved by the VNU Board of Directors and included in the 2012 selection plan based on the advice and proposals of the disciplinary/interdisciplinary councils. The task names, research objectives, and expected products in this list serve as the basis for scientists to prepare their project proposals for implementation in 2012.

The celebration of 38 years of training tradition and 15 years since the establishment of the Faculty of Information and Library Science was held on November 18, 2011.

On November 19th, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities solemnly organized a ceremony to celebrate and congratulate Vietnamese Teachers' Day. Attending the event were veteran teachers, former and current leaders of the University, faculty, staff, and students.

On November 17, 2011, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, had the honor of welcoming Mr. David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, to visit and participate in the "Multiculturalism" seminar as part of his state visit at the invitation of President Truong Tan Sang.

The list of students awarded the "Student Scientific Research" prize in 2011 is based on Decision No. 3283/QD-KHCN, dated November 8, 2011, signed by Prof. Dr. Mai Trong Nhuan, Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

On the morning of November 17, 2011, as part of his state visit to Vietnam at the invitation of the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Truong Tan Sang, the Governor General of Canada, David Lloyd Johnston, visited the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and attended a seminar on "Multiculturalism" at the University.

On November 18, 2011, immediately following the signing of the cooperation agreement between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Graduate School of Culture, University of Tokyo, the opening ceremony of the Japan Research Support Program Office was held.

On November 18th, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Rector of the University and Professor Hasegawa Toshikazu - Dean of the Graduate School of Comprehensive Cultural Studies and President of the University of Tokyo, Japan - signed a cooperation agreement between the two universities.

On November 16th, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh – Rector of the University – along with representatives from the Faculty of Tourism Studies, International Studies, and Psychology, met and worked with representatives from Auckland University of Technology – New Zealand: Professor Nigel Hemmington - Vice-Chancellor for International Affairs and Head of the Faculty of Applied Humanities, and Professor Christopher Hawley - Director of the Office for Development and International Relations.

The 20th anniversary celebration of the Faculty of Sociology was held solemnly on the morning of November 16th. Attending the ceremony were representatives from central government agencies and departments, professors, scientists, staff, and alumni from all generations of the Faculty of Sociology.
