University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU Hanoi

On the evening of October 3rd, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Embassy of the Republic of India in Vietnam jointly organized a rally to commemorate International Non-Violence Day at 19 Le Thanh Tong Street.

On the morning of October 4th, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held a scholarship awarding ceremony for students majoring in Korean Studies - Faculty of Oriental Studies, sponsored by Doosan Vina.

Yesterday, February 28, 2011, at 1:30 PM local time (5:30 PM Hanoi time), the funeral of Professor, Doctor, and People's Teacher Nguyen Tai Can was solemnly held at the Khovanskoe funeral home in Moscow, Russian Federation. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) sent a wreath to pay respects to the Professor. On behalf of the University, Professor, Doctor, and Rector Nguyen Van Khanh sent a letter of condolences to Professor, Doctor N. Stankievich and his family.

In the cool autumn weather, the new K56 students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities enrolled this morning, September 4th. As of 5 PM on September 4th, 2011, 1359 out of 1450 summoned candidates had enrolled, achieving a rate of 93.7%.

On the evening of September 23rd, the "I am K56" cultural program took place at the Me Tri Dormitory Cultural Center auditorium. Attending the program were Comrade Nguyen Hai Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union and President of the Student Association of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, along with representatives from the university's leadership and the Youth Union and Student Association, and representatives from the sponsors of the K56 Talent Competition: Vietnam Education Newspaper and Aptech Polytechnic Academy.

The Conference of Faculty and Staff Delegates for the 2011-2012 academic year of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities was held on September 24th. Attending the conference were Prof. Dr. Mai Trong Nhuan – Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, representatives from functional departments and member units of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and over 200 faculty and staff members representing various units within the University.

The Conference of Faculty and Staff Delegates for the 2011-2012 academic year of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities was held on September 24th. Attending the conference were Prof. Dr. Mai Trong Nhuan – Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, representatives from functional departments and member units of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and over 200 faculty and staff members representing various units within the University.

On September 27, 2011, the Faculty of Political Science will be officially established at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi). On this occasion, we met with the Dean of the Faculty of Political Science, Professor Phung Huu Phu, former Central Committee member of the Communist Party of Vietnam, former Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Propaganda Department, and Standing Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, to learn more about this new and promising field of study.

On September 25, 2011, the Dance for Life program was held for the first time at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
