On September 22, 2011, the working delegation of Project 165 Office (Central Organizing Committee), led by comrade Nguyen Van Quynh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee of Project 165, had a working session with the leaders of VNU, University of Social Sciences and Humanities to inspect and evaluate the joint training program for Master of Science and Technology Management between University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Lund University - Sweden.
On September 22, 2011, the working delegation of Project 165 Office (Central Organizing Committee), led by comrade Nguyen Van Quynh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee of Project 165, had a working session with the leaders of VNU, University of Social Sciences and Humanities to inspect and evaluate the joint training program for Master of Science and Technology Management between University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Lund University - Sweden.On behalf of the school's leadership, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh reported the results of the Master's program in Science and Technology Management under Project 165 assigned to the school by the Central Organizing Committee. The first course of the program recruited 38 students. After nearly 15 months of implementation, up to now, 36/38 students have basically completed the training program. Since the beginning of September 2011, 36 students have begun participating in a 1-month internship program at Lund University. This is the first program in the project of training and fostering leaders and managers abroad using the state budget (called Project 165) assigned to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. To implement the program, the school has established an executive board headed by the Rector, a professional board, and a separate coordinator for the program. The program has been implemented on schedule, with high efficiency, and as planned, 36 students of the first course will defend their theses and take the IELTS exam next October. At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh made a number of recommendations to the Office of Project 165 and the Central Organizing Committee to further improve the effectiveness and quality of the following training courses such as: improving the foreign language proficiency of students, awareness of the qualities of staff participating in the training, and strengthening coordination between units. At the same time, the Rector proposed a number of training programs that are the strengths of the University, which can be implemented within the framework of Project 165 such as the Master's training program in Journalism and Media Management, and Cultural Heritage and Tourism Management. Comrade Nguyen Van Quynh highly appreciated the efforts of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in participating in the serious and effective implementation of the program. He affirmed that the method of organizing and managing this first course will contribute important practical experiences in implementing the next training courses of the Project. He also noted the School's recommendations on implementing other training courses on Journalism and Media Management, and Cultural Heritage and Tourism Management. In the coming time, phase 2 of the project will continue to be implemented in a concentrated direction at a number of prestigious and quality training institutions.
