On the morning of October 4th, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held a scholarship awarding ceremony for students majoring in Korean Studies - Faculty of Oriental Studies, sponsored by Doosan Vina.The scholarship awarding ceremony was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu - Vice Rector of the University, Mr. Lee Min Seop - Director of Human Resources at Doosan Vina, representatives from the Faculty of Oriental Studies and the Department of Politics and Student Affairs. A total of 2,500 USD in scholarships were awarded to 15 students from cohorts K53, K54, and K55 majoring in Korean Studies who achieved excellent academic results and overcame difficulties to excel in their studies. Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu - Vice Rector of the University - thanked Doosan Vina for awarding scholarships to students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. He emphasized that the scholarships are not only valuable in terms of material aid but, more importantly, serve as encouragement for students to study well.

Representing Doosan Vina, Mr. Lee Min Seop expressed his hope that students would strive for academic excellence and contribute to the country's future development. Doosan Vina hopes to welcome outstanding graduates to work at the company. To enhance understanding of Korean culture and language at universities around the world, Doosan Group established the Yonkang Scholarship Fund in 1978. With the contribution of the Yonkang Fund, Doosan Vina has been awarding this scholarship to students at Vietnamese universities since 2008. This is also the third year that students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities have received scholarships from Doosan Vina.
