The University of Social Sciences and Humanities announces the results of the re-evaluation of the entrance examination for the regular undergraduate program in Group C at Hanoi National University in 2010.

This morning, August 31, 2010, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim - Vice Rector of the University - received the Walonie Bruxelles delegation (Belgium) and discussed cooperation between Walonie Bruxelles and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

A scientific conference on the theme "Innovating Leadership and Management Culture in Vietnam: Perspectives - Models - Solutions" was held at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities on August 30, 2010, with the participation of many scientists and practitioners.

On the morning of August 30th, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held the opening ceremony for the first cohort of the Master's program in Science and Technology Management. This is a joint training program between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) and Lund University (Sweden) – within the framework of Project 165 of the Central Organizing Committee.

On August 28th and 29th, 2010, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will hold its postgraduate entrance examination for 2010.

On August 16, 2010, the Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities signed Decision No. 1464/QD-XHNV-TC recognizing and awarding prizes to collectives and individuals who achieved emulation titles in the 2009-2010 academic year.

With the aim of strengthening in-depth research on Confucianism in Vietnam, on August 24th, the Center for Chinese Studies of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities organized a scientific conference entitled "Zhu Xi and East Asian Confucianism".

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Kim Son (Vice Rector), presented at the 4th Congress of the Party Committee of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

The topic of this dissertation is "The Youth Movement in North Vietnam by the Vietnam Labor Party (1965-1975)" conducted by PhD candidate Nguyen Quang Lieu, defended at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities on August 8, 2010.

"Effective innovation and comprehensive development" is the action slogan adopted at the 26th Congress of the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

2010 was a year of many notable events in the activities of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities: the 65th anniversary of the University's founding and the 26th Party Congress of the University's Party Committee. This year also marked significant changes in the University's development orientation to further affirm its leading position in the Vietnamese university system and meet the new societal needs for higher education. Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector of the University - discussed with reporters the opportunities and challenges awaiting the University in the new decade.

On June 30, 2010, the Faculty of Tourism Studies held a ceremony to announce the appointment of the Faculty's leadership board for the 2010-2015 term and to award diplomas to students of the QH-2006-X cohort. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu - Vice Rector of the University - along with many representatives from partner units and agencies, came to congratulate the Faculty.

On the afternoon of June 23, 2010, the Department of History, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, held a book launch for the new book Immigrés de force: Les travailleurs indochinois en France (1939 – 1952) [Forced Migration: Indochinese Laborers in France (1939-1952)] by French scholar and journalist Pierre Daum.
