Free AI course for Vietnamese Information and Library professionals.

1. Time:October 7th and 8th, 2025
2. Location: National Library of Vietnam, 31 Trang Thi Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi
3. Organizing unit:
- Vietnam Association for Scientific and Technological Information – Chair
- Faculty of Information and Library Science, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi
- National Library of Vietnam
- The project receives professional support from Meta Group.

4. Target learners:
- Information and library staff at university, college, and public libraries nationwide.
- Information and library staff working in science and technology at agencies, organizations, and departments of science and technology.
5. Course Objectives:
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:
- Understand and analyze the changes brought about by AI in the library field, identifying opportunities, challenges, and user needs.
- Utilize AI communication skills (prompting) and AI tools to process documents, digitize, develop resources, and deploy chatbots.
- Creating content and developing communication and marketing plans for the library using AI.
- Evaluating and applying AI ethically, in compliance with the law and professional standards in a library environment.
6. Output:
- Students will be awarded a certificate of completion for the course.
- Opportunity to join a community supporting the development of AI applications in the information and library sector.
- Provided with learning materials
The Faculty of Information and Library Science, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, will provide AI training to over 100 librarians in Quy Nhon in August 2025.
7. Eligibility requirements:
- The course is completely free for individuals/organizations who are members of the Vietnam Association for Scientific and Technological Information (even if you are not yet a member, you can still attend for free and register as a member later).
- Commitment to completing the course and applying the knowledge to practical work.
- Each organization may send a maximum of two people to attend the class.
- Each participant needs a personal computer (laptop or tablet with a separate keyboard).
8. Register to participate
- Registration period starts from:September 15th to October 1st, 2025

The organizing committee will announce the selection results and invitations to the training course on October 2nd, 2025.
