Regarding the work progress in September, the tasks set out were basically completed. However, four tasks remain unfinished: - The revised and supplemented Regulations on Regular Undergraduate Training at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities have not yet been issued and disseminated. - The "2+2" training program for Tourism and Hotel Management and Thai Studies with Bansomdeij Chaopraya School, Thailand, has not yet been finalized. - The issue of repairing facilities at building B7bis, Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language, has not yet been resolved. - Discussions on the draft Regulations on Workplace Culture at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities have not yet begun. The work plan for October 2010 will be implemented as follows:1. Party work, organization, propaganda, and mass organizations.
The specific tasks include: - Organizing activities to celebrate the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi, commemorating the Liberation Day of the capital and the founding day of the Vietnam Women's Union; - Holding Party Committee meetings; - Organizing the Conference of staff and faculty for the 2010-2011 academic year; - Reorganizing the personnel of the School's Inspection Board; Checking the preparations for the 65th anniversary of the School's tradition; - Organizing a seminar for female lecturers on the issue of improving qualifications; - Continuing to organize mid-term conferences of the student union and student association; opening soft skills training classes for students; Implementing the singing competition for students and staff of the School.2. University training, student affairs, quality assurance and inspection.
- Open supplementary courses and plan the end-of-semester exams for the first semester; Organize the registration for completion of the curriculum for students of the QHX – 2007 – X cohort in the first semester; Organize the exemption exam for the Informatics course. - Launch the dual degree program in Tourism Studies – Foreign Languages for the 2010 cohort; Collaborate with the University of Foreign Languages to develop the dual degree program in Chinese – Social Sciences & Humanities. - Enter student enrollment data, provide email accounts, update and train staff and students of the QH – 2010 – X cohort on the use of the educational management software; organize a conference on the use of the educational management software; upgrade the Training Department's website; evaluate the management and use of servers serving training. - Review the hierarchical management of training between the Training Department and the faculties, and the regulations for high-quality training programs; Managing the professional aspects of specialized foreign language courses in the Faculties of Oriental Studies, International Studies, Tourism Studies, and Vietnamese Studies. - Evaluating the organization of foreign language teaching; evaluating the two-year training program and strategic tasks of the Linguistics major; summarizing the four-year credit-based training program. - Compiling student handbooks, lecturer handbooks, and academic advisor handbooks. - Providing academic guidance for foreign students in the undergraduate program. - Completing the 2010 university admissions process. - Organizing entrance exams for the 2010 part-time program in Nghe An, Thai Nguyen, Khanh Hoa, and Hue; conducting graduation exams for the 2005-2010 part-time Tourism Studies class in Hanoi; holding graduation ceremonies and awarding diplomas for the 2005-2010 part-time Information and Communication Studies class in Nghe An and the 2005-2010 part-time Literature class in Hanoi. - Conduct health check-ups for students of the QH-2010-X cohort. - Consider awarding scholarships for the first semester of the 2010-2011 academic year to students of the QH-2007-X, QH-2008-X, and QH-2009-X cohorts. - Review student and international student records of the QH-2010-X and QH-2007-X cohorts. - Hold a meeting of the Alumni Association for all cohorts. - Complete the evaluation of lectures for the second semester of the 2009-2010 academic year; Continue self-assessment of the Tourism and History training programs; Supplement evidence for external evaluation at the university level. - Hold a meeting on inspection work.3. Scientific research, postgraduate training, foreign relations, and international training cooperation.
- Organizing an international conference: Research and Training in Anthropology in Vietnam during the process of transition and international integration. - Monitoring the activities of centers, programs, and projects. - Holding a meeting of the Standing Committee of the University's Science and Training Council on the scientific and technological tasks for 2011. - Completing the Catalog of Scientific Works of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (2006-2010). - Recruiting students, inaugurating and teaching general subjects for the QH-2010-X postgraduate course. - Processing and organizing the thesis defense for the QH-2007-X postgraduate course. - Completing the "2+2" joint training project for Tourism and Hotel Management and Thai Studies with Bansomdeij Chaopraya Rajabat School, Thailand. - New students in the "2+2" joint training program enroll.4. Administrative, managerial, and financial work
