On the morning of December 1st, 2009, during the school-wide briefing session, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - the Rector - emphasized several key tasks that needed to be implemented in December 2009.
1. Party work, organization, propaganda, and mass organizations.
- Reorganizing the Party Committee Executive Board for the 25th term;
- The organization conducted an assessment of the quality of Party branches and Party members in 2009;
- Organize training courses on Party awareness for outstanding Youth Union members;
- Organize the Trade Union Congress (December 11-12) and the Youth Union Congress (December 25-26);
- Strengthening the organizational structure and personnel of departments and centers for the 2009-2014 term;
- Complete the classification of workers eligible for additional income in 2009;
- Completed the staff training and development plan for the 2009-2010 academic year.
2. Training, student affairs, quality assurance and inspection.
- Organize the course registration process for full-time students in the second semester.
- Enhance the advisory services provided by academic advisors to students;
- Develop a joint international training program (2+2) in Journalism, Mass Communication, and Advertising with Guangxi University (China);
- Develop training programs in several fields/specializations to achieve international standards at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels;
- Summary of lesson evaluation work for the 2008-2009 school year;
- Second round of Master's degree awards in 2009.
3. Scientific research and international cooperation:
- Organizing the Interdisciplinary Research Workshop in Social Sciences and Humanities: Experiences and Prospects:
- The Standing Committee of the Science and Training Council held a meeting to review the science and technology plan for 2009.
4. Administrative, managerial, and financial work:
- Financial settlement for the year 2009;
- Organize a conference to provide guidance on financial management for the units.
