Attending the ceremony were Prof. Dr. Phung Huu Phu - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Xuan Hang - Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Prof. Dr. Mai Trong Nhuan - Director of VNU, Prof. Dr. Pham Trong Quat - Vice Director of VNU, Prof. Dr. Vu Minh Giang - Vice Director of VNU, Prof. Phan Huu Dat - Chairman of VNU Alumni Association, former Rector of VNU, Prof. Vu Duong Ninh - Chairman of VNU Alumni Association. Many representatives of partner agencies, along with many teachers of many generations and students of all courses of the University, were present to celebrate the ceremony.

Prof. Dr. Pham Trong Quat - Party Secretary, Deputy Director delivered a congratulatory speech to the teachers and students of the school on Vietnam Teachers' Day. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - on behalf of the Board of Directors for the termìhas just affirmed the major orientations of the University in the next 5 years. Accordingly, to quickly approach the level of advanced universities in the region, the key tasks of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities are:

• Focus on innovating and improving the effectiveness of political education and ideological and moral training for cadres and students;
• Create a fundamental shift in the work of building and developing staff, focusing on developing young staff and leading scientists with professional qualifications and foreign languages ​​at the regional level;
• Continue to develop a number of new majors/specializations such as Vietnamese Studies, Policy Sciences, Public Administration, and Arts Studies, while expanding majors and training majors to international standards, training programs in cooperation with foreign countries, and improving the output quality of students;
• Improve the quality and effectiveness of scientific research and international cooperation;
• Promote the application of information technology and implement administrative reforms;
• Increase income for school staff.
