I. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA AND CONDITIONS FOR APPLICATION:
1. Eligibility criteria:- Individuals who have graduated from a Vietnamese high school or hold a foreign diploma with recognized equivalent qualifications.
- Individuals holding a vocational diploma in a field related to the chosen program and who have completed the required amount of general education at the high school level as stipulated by law (hereinafter referred to as high school graduates).
- Someone who has a university degree.
2. General eligibility requirements:- Meet the required entry threshold.
- Must be in good health to study according to current regulations.
- All required personal information and application documents are provided.
- Submit all required documents and application fees fully, correctly, and on time.
Those who do not meet the above requirements and those who fall under the following categories are not eligible to take the exam:
- Currently under criminal investigation or serving a criminal sentence.
- Military personnel or police officers currently serving who have not been granted permission to attend training by their superiors.
- Currently under disciplinary action, banned from taking any form of competition.
II. ADMISSION METHODS:In 2025, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, will recruit students for part-time study programs using three admission methods:
- Method 1 (Method code: 100): Admission based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam.
- Method 3 (Method code 414): Combining high school academic results with an interview for admission.
- Method 4 (method code 500): Use a different method
(1) Method 100: Admission based on high school graduation exam resultsThe University of Social Sciences and Humanities uses the following subject combinations for admission to specific majors:

Bonus points for the 100 method.a) Candidates who win first, second, or third prize in national or international student competitions in Mathematics, Literature, History, Geography, English, Chinese, or Japanese, or in national or international science and technology competitions (with research projects or topics in the field of Social and Behavioral Sciences as judged by the Admissions Council) organized and nominated by the Ministry of Education and Training; the time of winning the prize must not exceed 3 years from June 30, 2025 (excluding the right to direct admission), will receive additional points (on a 30-point scale), specifically:
- First prize in national or international excellent student competitions or national or international science and technology competitions organized by the Ministry of Education and Training: additional points will be added.
3.0point;
- Second prize in national or international excellent student competitions or national or international science and technology competitions organized by the Ministry of Education and Training: additional points will be awarded.
2.5point;
- Third prize in national or international excellent student competitions or national or international science and technology competitions organized by the Ministry of Education and Training: additional points will be awarded.
2.0point.
b) Candidates who win prizes in the Hanoi National University's High School Olympic competition, the High School Excellent Student competition, or the Provincial/City-level Excellent Student competition in Mathematics, Literature, History, Geography, English, Chinese, and Japanese will receive bonus points (on a 30-point scale), specifically:
- First prize (High School Excellent Student Award at Vietnam National University, Hanoi; High School Olympic Award at Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Provincial/City-level Excellent Student Award): plus bonus points
2.5point;
- Second prize (High School Excellent Student Award at Vietnam National University, Hanoi; High School Olympic Award at Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Provincial/City-level Excellent Student Award): bonus points will be added.
2.0point;
- Third prize (High School Excellent Student Award at Vietnam National University, Hanoi; High School Olympic Award at Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Provincial/City-level Excellent Student Award): bonus points will be added.
1.5point.
The University of Social Sciences and Humanities does not consider awarding bonus points for student competitions in the Continuing Education system at the provincial/city level (organized independently from the provincial/city-level student competitions).
c) Candidates who achieve multiple accomplishments and earn multiple bonus points will only have their achievements counted once, with the highest score/achievement being recognized.
Priority points based on region and target group for method 100Candidates are eligible for regional priority policies as stipulated in the year of their high school (or vocational school) graduation and the year immediately preceding it. (Applicable to candidates graduating in 2024 and 2025).
Priority points for candidates with a total score of 22.5 or higher (when converted to a 30-point scale, with a maximum total score of 30 for the three subjects) are determined according to the following formula:
Priority points = [(30 – Total points achieved including bonus points)/7.5] × Priority points for region and target group
Foreign language conversion points:
Candidates applying under method 100 with a foreign language certificate (as specified in Appendix 01) will have their certificate converted into a foreign language exam score in their chosen subject combination (if desired). The foreign language score conversion table is included in Appendix 02.
International language certificates submitted for conversion must still be valid until the application deadline (valid for 2 years from the date of the exam). The University of Social Sciences and Humanities does not convert certificates obtained through online exams.
(2) Method 414:Combining high school academic results with an interview for admission (applicable to candidates who graduated from high school in 2024 or earlier).a) Academic Performance Assessment: Candidates' academic ability is assessed based on their overall year-long academic results in the subjects corresponding to their chosen admission group. The assessment score is the average of the year-long academic results for all subjects in grade 12, according to the chosen admission group, and must meet the following assessment criteria (on a 100-point scale):

Note: The academic performance rating levels are applied according to Circular 58/2011/TT-BGDĐT dated December 12, 2011 and Circular 26/2020/TT-BGDĐT dated August 26, 2020 of the Ministry of Education and Training. Students with "Weak" or "Poor" academic performance ratings are not eligible for admission.The combinations applying method 414 (registration based on academic results combined with interview) are similar to method 100, specifically:

- C04: Mathematics, Literature, Geography
- D01: Mathematics, Literature, English;

Note: Candidates should only choose the combination with the highest score to register for admission.
b) Interviews:
- Candidates participate in direct interviews with the Candidate Interview Subcommittee. The interview content focuses on assessing the candidate's knowledge, awareness, abilities, and motivation for studying the chosen field; evaluating their communication skills, understanding, and ability to express themselves as required; their understanding of the training institution; their basic and relatively up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the field; their need to improve their skills in the field and apply them in practice; their readiness to participate in the training process; and assessing the candidate's basic skills such as communication, presentation, and critical thinking.
(3) Method 500: Use another method (applicable to candidates who have a university degree)- Selection based on application documents and accumulated academic results for candidates who have graduated from university and wish to apply for part-time university training.
- The selection process is based on ranking candidates by application review scores and academic performance from highest to lowest until the expected number of candidates is filled. In cases where candidates have equal application review scores, their cumulative GPA at the undergraduate level will be considered in descending order until all positions are filled.
- Assessing the candidate's academic ability through their undergraduate studies, with a total score of 100 points.

III. APPLICATION PROCEDURES:1. Application form (form 1)
2. A certified copy of the high school graduation exam results, along with a copy of the temporary high school graduation certificate (for candidates applying under the 100-point method graduating in 2025).
3. Certified copy of high school diploma and certified copy of high school transcript (for candidates applying under method 414 who graduated in 2024 or earlier).
4. Certified copy of university graduation diploma along with certified copy of transcript/diploma supplement (for candidates applying under method 500)
5. Certified copy of evidence proving bonus points or certified copy of priority status based on region or category for candidates applying under method 100 and candidates applying under method 414 who graduated from high school in 2024 (if applicable).
6. Certified copies of valid international foreign language certificates for converting foreign language scores (for candidates taking the exam using the 100-point method).
7. Certified copy of the Citizen Identity Card.
8. Photo album containing 4 color photos, size 4x6 cm (sample 2).
Note to applicants: You must complete all required documents; otherwise, you will not be eligible for consideration.
IV. ADMISSION PLAN:
1. Application procedures:Candidates should download the application form attached to the Announcement Appendix and prepare the documents according to the instructions in Section III above. The documents must be complete and placed in a paper file folder (using the pre-made application forms available at bookstores). The outside of the file folder must clearly state the applicant's information regarding their application for the part-time university program.
