In the context of accelerating national digital transformation, the need for data and archive management is becoming increasingly urgent, especially in the process of building a digital government in Vietnam. The scientific workshop "Data and archive management in the context of developing a digital government in Vietnam" aims to create a forum for academic exchange and sharing of practical experiences among scientists, experts, and managers in the field of archives. The event contributes to clarifying the role of data and archives in ensuring continuity, transparency, and efficiency of public service activities of agencies and organizations.
At the same time, the workshop promotes research on the application of modern governance models such as big data governance, information security, and long-term digital document preservation. This is an opportunity to review, update, and propose solutions to improve institutions and policies on digital archives, contributing to improving state governance capacity in the digital age. Organizing the workshop is not only of academic significance but also practically supports the implementation of the national digital transformation strategy, laying the foundation for the development of the Vietnamese archives industry in a professional, modern, and integrated direction.
The workshop is also an opportunity for the Faculty of Archival Studies and Office Management, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU to introduce archival training programs (bachelor, master, doctorate) and expand cooperation with agencies and organizations in the field of applied research and providing high-quality human resources in Archival Studies.
