In the context of the accelerating national digital transformation, the need for data and archival management is becoming increasingly urgent, especially in the process of building a digital government in Vietnam. The scientific conference "Data and Archival Management in the Context of Digital Government Development in Vietnam" aims to create a forum for academic exchange and sharing of practical experiences among scientists, experts, and managers in the field of archiving. The event contributes to clarifying the role of data and archival documents in ensuring the continuity, transparency, and efficiency of public service activities of agencies and organizations.
Simultaneously, the workshop promotes research and application of modern governance models such as big data governance, information security, and long-term digital document preservation. This is an opportunity to review, update, and propose solutions to improve the institutional framework and policies on digital archiving, contributing to enhancing state governance capacity in the digital age. Organizing the workshop is not only academically significant but also practically supports the implementation of the national digital transformation strategy, laying the foundation for the development of Vietnam's archiving sector towards professionalism, modernity, and integration.
The workshop also provided an opportunity for the Faculty of Archival Studies and Office Management, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, to introduce its archival training programs (bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees) and expand cooperation with agencies and organizations in the field of applied research and the provision of high-quality human resources in archival studies.
