Announcement regarding the adjustment of equivalent benchmark scores between regular university admission methods in 2025 and the score difference between admission combinations using high school graduation exam results.

Friday - July 25, 2025 17:23
The University of Social Sciences and Humanities respectfully announces the following table showing the equivalent admission scores between different admission methods (PTXT) and the score difference between different admission combinations using the results of the high school graduation exam (PT100) for the 2025 regular university entrance exam:
I. SCORE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN ADMISSION COMBINATIONS USING HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION EXAM RESULTS (PT100)
(Note: The score difference between admission combinations using the high school graduation exam results (PT 100) uses combination C00 as the base combination; Southeast Asian Studies and Japanese Studies use combination D01 as the base combination).
For example:
For Journalism, the original admission combination is C00. If the cutoff score for the original C00 combination is 28 points, then the cutoff score for combinations D14, D15, D66 is 25 points; D01 is 24.5 points; and C03, C04 is 25.5 points.
For the Southeast Asian Studies major, the original admission combination is D01. If the cutoff score for the original D01 combination is 25 points, then the cutoff score for combinations D14, D15, and D66 is 26.5 points.
For Japanese Studies, the original admission combination is D01. If the cutoff score for the original D01 combination is 25 points, then the cutoff score for the D06 combination will also be 25 points.

II. CONVERSION OF EQUIVALENT ADMISSION SCORES BETWEEN REGULAR UNIVERSITY PROGRAMS IN 2025
1. Conversion principles
- The admission scores for PT100 (using high school graduation exam results) and PT401 (using the results of the Hanoi National University's HSA aptitude test) are converted using the quantile method to find equivalent cutoff scores between the two admission methods.
- The admission score for PT401 is converted to a 30-point scale equivalent to the original combination (the combination most suitable for the major/group of majors that the candidate applied for) of PT100 and does not establish a transitive relationship with other combinations.
2. How to convert equivalent admission scores between PTXT PT401 and PT100.
Candidates should use the equivalent conversion table for benchmark scores between PT100 (using high school graduation exam results) and PT401 (using the results of the National University of Hanoi's Competency Assessment Exam - HSA) attached to Official Letter No. 205/TB-ĐTSKT dated July 18, 2025, from the Director of the Institute of Digital Training and Testing, National University of Hanoi, including the equivalent quantile table between HSA exam scores and the high school graduation exam score combinations C00 and D01 in 2025.
Candidates applying for admission to the following majors: Journalism, Oriental Studies, Korean Studies, Public Relations, Tourism and Travel Service Management, Hotel Management, International Studies, Psychology, Social Work, Film and Popular Arts, Management Science, Information Management, Office Management, Cultural Studies, Literature, Sociology, Vietnamese Studies, Political Science, Sino-Vietnamese Studies, History, Archival Studies, Linguistics, Anthropology, Information and Library Science, Religious Studies, Philosophy should use the conversion table in Table 1 of the appendix attached to this announcement.
Applicants for the Southeast Asian Studies and Japanese Studies programs should use the conversion table in Table 2 of the appendix attached to this announcement.
