(Urgent Notice No. 16) VNU continues to implement online teaching and learning methods

On the afternoon of May 7, 2021, the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of VNU issued an urgent notice on strengthening the drastic implementation of Covid-19 prevention and control measures. This includes the content that university and postgraduate training units continue to implement online teaching and learning methods until further notice.

Implementing Official Dispatch No. 570/CD-TTg dated May 2, 2021 of the Prime Minister and Directive No. 11/CT-UBND dated May 5, 2021 of the Hanoi People's Committee on strengthening drastic measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic in the new situation; in the face of rapid, complicated and unpredictable developments of the epidemic, VNU requests the VNU Office, Trade Union, Youth Union, VNU Student Association, member and affiliated units to continue implementing Official Dispatch No. 1179/ĐQGHN-CT&CTHSSV dated April 27, 2021 and Urgent Notice dated May 3, 2021 of VNU, paying special attention to the following contents:

1. Continue to implement online teaching and learning methods for undergraduate and postgraduate students until further notice from VNU; secondary and high school students of the units shall comply with the notice of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training.

2. Heads of units shall, based on the practical conditions of the unit, allow, encourage, and arrange for administrative, research, and service staff to organize meetings and perform tasks online at the office or at home as appropriate, but must ensure progress, quality, and efficiency of work and ensure safety conditions in disease prevention and control.

3. Temporarily suspend conferences, seminars, talks as well as activities that gather large crowds... until the appropriate time. Leaders of units strengthen the direction and implementation of propaganda work, political ideology education, ethics, lifestyle for cadres, lecturers, students, postgraduates in epidemic prevention and control and law enforcement in general; regularly inspect, urge, and evaluate this work at the unit.

4. The Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of units is responsible for updating daily (before 4:30 p.m.) the implementation situation at the unit, the number of individuals of the unit belonging to related groups (if any) and promptly reporting to the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of VNU (through the Standing Office at phone number 098 9381332 of Deputy Head of the Department of Politics and Student Affairs Nguyen Minh Truong, Email:nmtruong@vnu.edu.vn).
