The school-wide meeting chaired by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - School Principal was held on January 4, 2011.The Principal's general assessment of the implementation of the work plan for December 2010 has completed the main tasks according to the plan. However, some tasks have not been completed or have been implemented but are behind schedule such as: not completing the organization of the inspection system and completing documents on inspection work. At the meeting, the Principal especially emphasized the key tasks for 2011 and the key work plan for January 2011. Specifically:4 key tasks in 2011:1. Further deploy the credit-based training method, effectively implement international training programs, expand international training links to rapidly improve training quality. 2. Continue to develop and deploy more large-scale, highly interdisciplinary scientific and technological tasks, improve the effectiveness of scientific research activities to meet the requirements of socio-economic development of the country, the Capital and serve training tasks. 3. Promote international cooperation, prioritize links with high-ranking universities to learn from experience, access knowledge, improve training quality and the reputation of the school. 4. Strengthen discipline, learning and working order; cultivate teachers' ethics, create a community cultural environment, quality culture to ensure sustainable international development and successful integration.Some key tasks in January 2011:Regarding Party, organization, propaganda and union work: Organize a meeting of the Emulation and Reward Council; Implement the introduction and appointment of the Head of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication for the 2011-2016 term. Training, student affairs, quality control and inspection: Organize a Conference to summarize 4 years of credit training at VNU. Develop a roadmap for the second phase of credit training (2011-2015); Complete registration of subjects for the second semester and invite lecturers; Organize non-formal training at the School. Scientific research and international cooperation: Meeting of the School's Science and Training Council; develop a plan for the first and second rounds of 2011 undergraduate admissions at the School and at affiliated facilities. Administrative, management and financial work: Conduct a general inventory of fixed assets of the whole school; Plan for the Lunar New Year celebration; Final report for the fourth quarter of 2010; Budget planning for the first quarter of 2011.The principal noted some tasks that need to be done immediately:- The Party Committee Office urges Party cells to complete the development of plans to implement the Resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels. - The Organization and Personnel Department coordinates with the Training Department and the Postgraduate Training Department to plan to organize a conference for part-time staff. - The Department of Scientific Research Management, Training, and Postgraduate Training needs to have a plan to introduce and promote the school's scientific publications to training and scientific research institutions at home and abroad. - The Planning and Finance Department completes the payment of additional income and overtime teaching before the Lunar New Year. - The Inspection Committee coordinates with the Training Department to inspect and take measures to handle and remind staff assigned to invigilate exams who are late or absent. - Heads of units: Pay attention to and urge staff in their units to accept scientific research topics and lecture materials on time. - Urge staff to complete the entry of staff information data on the VNU website. - Complete the evaluation of staff performance to calculate additional income.
