The school-wide briefing session, chaired by Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - the Rector of the University, was held on January 4, 2011.
The school-wide briefing session, chaired by Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - the Rector of the University, was held on January 4, 2011.The Rector's overall assessment of the December 2010 work plan indicated that the main tasks had been completed as planned. However, some tasks remained unfinished or were behind schedule, such as the incomplete restructuring of the inspection system and the finalization of documents related to inspection work. At the meeting, the Rector particularly emphasized the key tasks for 2011 and the key work plan for January 2011. Specifically:Four key tasks for 2011:1. Further expand the credit-based training method, effectively implement training programs that meet international standards, and broaden international training partnerships to rapidly improve the quality of education. 2. Continue to develop and implement large-scale, interdisciplinary science and technology projects, enhancing the effectiveness of scientific research activities to meet the socio-economic development requirements of the country and the capital city, and to serve the training mission. 3. Promote international cooperation, prioritizing partnerships with highly ranked universities to learn from experience, access knowledge, and improve the quality of education and the reputation of the institution. 4. Strengthen discipline and order in learning and work; cultivate the ethics of educators, and create a community culture and a culture of quality to ensure sustainable international development and successful integration.Some key tasks for January 2011:Regarding Party, organizational, propaganda, and mass organization work: Organized a meeting of the Emulation and Commendation Council; Implemented the nomination and appointment of the Dean of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication for the 2011-2016 term. Regarding training, student affairs, quality assurance, and inspection: Organized the Conference summarizing 4 years of credit-based training at the National University; Developed the roadmap for phase II of credit-based training (2011-2015); Completed course registration for the second semester and invited lecturers; Organized non-formal training at the University. Regarding scientific research and international cooperation: Held a meeting of the University's Science and Training Council; Developed a plan for postgraduate enrollment in the first and second rounds of 2011 at the University and at affiliated institutions. Regarding administration, management, and finance: Conducted a comprehensive inventory of fixed assets throughout the university; Developed a plan for the Lunar New Year celebration; Reported on the Q4 2010 financial statement; Developed the Q1 2011 budget plan.The principal noted several tasks that need to be done immediately:- The Party Committee Office urges the Party branches to complete the implementation plan for the Resolutions of the Party Congress at all levels. - The Organization and Personnel Department, in coordination with the Training Department and the Postgraduate Training Department, plans to organize a conference for part-time staff. - The Research Management, Training, and Postgraduate Training Department needs to plan to introduce and promote the university's scientific publications to training and research institutions both domestically and internationally. - The Planning and Finance Department completes the payment of additional income and overtime teaching pay before the Lunar New Year. - The Inspection Board, in coordination with the Training Department, checks and takes measures to address and remind staff assigned to supervise exams who are late or absent. - Heads of units: Pay attention to and urge staff under their units to complete the acceptance of research projects and lecture materials on time. - Urge staff to complete the entry of staff information data on the VNU network. - Complete the evaluation of staff work results to calculate additional income.
