Focus of work in March 2011

On March 1, 2011, a school-wide meeting chaired by Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Kim Son - Vice Principal - was held.The conference listened to the Board of Directors' report on the overall implementation of February's work and directed the implementation of the key work plan for March 2011. The Board of Directors' assessment of the implementation of the February 2011 work plan basically completed the main tasks according to the plan. Some tasks that have not been completed include: The 2010 non-formal training summary conference and the quality assessment conference have not been organized. In addition, the Board of Directors especially emphasized some key tasks in March 2011 as follows: Party, organization, propaganda, and mass organization work: Organizing activities to celebrate Youth Month and the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; Party Committee meeting on the organization and structure of training professions, directing the organization and management of training in some professions that meet international standards; organizing the dissemination of the Resolution of the 11th National Party Congress; Summary of Six programs aimed at standardizing and modernizing the activities of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in the period 2003 - 2010; Deploying the election of National Assembly deputies and People's Councils at all levels. Training, student affairs, quality assessment and inspection: Deploying the construction and completion of training programs according to output standards (CDIO) for Tourism Studies and LTH-QTVP; Adjusting the Strategic Task Project according to the requirements of VNU; Considering academic performance in the first semester, transferring high-quality students in the second semester; Organizing the first round of the Academic Advisory Competition; Deploying preparations for full-time university admissions in 2011; Considering scholarships and social allowances in the second semester of the 2010 - 2011 school year for full-time students; Organizing the 2011 Career Counseling and Admissions Festival. Scientific research and international cooperation: Organizing seminars: Vietnamese history in the context of integration and globalization: Theoretical and methodological issues; National Master Khuong Viet and Vietnamese Buddhism in the early era of independence; Organizing a faculty-level student scientific conference; Implementing the first enrollment period in 2011. Administrative, management and financial work: Upgrading and repairing transformer stations and power grids in the school; Making a plan for allocating and using the state budget in the first period of 2011; Making a budget settlement report for 2010. The Board of Directors noted some tasks that need to be done immediately, which are: - Heads of units interested in the election of National Assembly and People's Council deputies at all levels. - The Faculty of Sociology coordinates with the Graduate Training Department to have a plan to promote the Master of Social Work training program. - The Administration and Management Department has a plan to allocate the computers donated by the Guangxi Provincial Government.
