Based on the results of the first consultative conference of the Hanoi City Fatherland Front Committee held on February 24, 2011 and Official Dispatch No. 43/CV-HDND dated March 1, 2011 of the Standing Committee of the City People's Council on the approval of the proposal and introduction of candidates for the Hanoi City People's Council for the 2011-2016 term, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is recommended to introduce one candidate for the City People's Council for the next term.

After three conference sessions with the participation of comrades in the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors, the Trade Union Executive Board, heads of units and leaders of departmental trade unions; Based on the criteria for People's Council delegates, on the afternoon of March 15, 2011, 100% of voters attending the conference unanimously recommended Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Kim Son - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - as a candidate for the Hanoi City People's Council for the 2011-2016 term.
