18 outstanding employees of Samsung Electronics Bac Ninh graduated from a short-term Korean language course.

Yesterday afternoon (June 17th), 18 students received their diplomas at the closing ceremony of the Korean language course for outstanding employees of Samsung Electronics Bac Ninh at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

18 outstanding employees of Samsung Electronics Bac Ninh graduated from a short-term Korean language course.

The Korean language course for outstanding employees of Samsung Electronics Bac Ninh is a collaborative Korean language training program between Samsung Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd. and the Department of Korean Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Attending the ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh - Vice Rector of the University, Mr. Cho Ho-seok - Deputy General Director of Samsung Electronics Vietnam, and Mr. Kim Jin Woo - Head of Human Resources at Samsung Electronics Vietnam. The ceremony was also attended by all the lecturers and 18 trainees participating in this course.

Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh delivered a speech at the ceremony, acknowledging the efforts of the students and lecturers over the past period, and expressing his desire for long-term and sustainable cooperation with Samsung Electronics Vietnam (Photo: Hieu Luong).

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh expressed his delight that all the students had graduated: “I am very happy that all 18 students of this course achieved very high results after the final exam. This is a positive sign showing that the efforts of the students and lecturers have been rewarded deservedly. I highly appreciate the cooperation between the company and the Department of Korean Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies of our university. I also hope that this will open up many opportunities for cooperation between the company and the university.”

In response to the Vice Principal's heartfelt words, Mr. Cho Ho-seok thanked the school and the teachers for their enthusiastic support and care for the company's employees: "On the opening day, I saw faces downcast, clearly showing anxiety, but today I see confidence in the eyes of our employees. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the Vice Principal and the teachers in the Department of Oriental Studies for their efforts in providing the best possible facilities and teaching staff for our employees."

The first Korean language course for outstanding employees of Samsung Electronics Bac Ninh commenced on March 16, 2015, and lasted for 12 weeks. During this course, company employees received instruction from both Vietnamese and native Korean speakers. All expenses for the students were covered by the company.

With all 18 trainees from Samsung Electronics Bac Ninh graduating after the first course, this marks a great success in the training cooperation between Samsung Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd. and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

The second course is expected to begin in early July.
