Cultural - Historical Propaganda Club: imbued with the unique identity of Humanities students

The Club is one of the most active and impressive student groups in the field of culture and history in Hanoi. The main activity of the Club is to promote the image and culture of Vietnam to domestic and foreign tourists in many forms such as introducing and guiding tourists at cultural and historical sites in Hanoi, organizing cultural events...

In addition to activities in school, the Cultural - Historical Propaganda Club also carries out many other professional activities outside the school. Among them, the most regular activity is the Club's cooperation with the Hanoi Department of Tourism and the National Museum of History to turn members into volunteers to support tourism activities and promote the image and culture of the capital Hanoi.

Members of the Cultural - Historical Propaganda Club

Every Saturday and Sunday, at the historical sites: Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, Thang Long Imperial Citadel and National History Museum, the members of the Club always work very enthusiastically and vigorously, leaving many beautiful impressions in the eyes of domestic and foreign tourists. Many foreign tourists, after listening to the Club members introduce the historical sites, felt extremely excited and expressed their desire to apply such models of activities in their country. To have such good images, the members had to try very hard to improve their knowledge of history and culture. And especially, they always carry with them a passionate love for history and culture to overcome difficulties and challenges during their activities.

Not only operating weekly at historical sites, the Club also cooperates with many organizations and businesses to create extremely meaningful cultural and historical programs. Some programs include "I row to my homeland", the event series "Back to the source 2018"...

To Quang Minh, a member of the club, said: “It must be said that club members have many advantages in their activities because they are trained at the leading schools in Vietnam in the fields of social sciences and humanities. With systematic, scientific and extensive training in social sciences and humanities, club members find it easier to present long and complex speeches.”

The club’s activities are not only a playground but also extremely lively practical classes for members to have the opportunity to practice, practice and improve their skills. With a solid foundation of knowledge, members will be able to directly use that knowledge to exchange and introduce to tourists and friends at home and abroad. This makes them remember, understand and feel more interested in learning.

“Many members of the club have participated in scientific research at school and achieved high results with topics exploited from the very historical sites where they operate. Uncle Ho once said: "Learning must go hand in hand with practice", perhaps this is a very practical and meaningful "practice" opportunity for the members" - To Quang Minh shared more.

In addition, the communication skills and foreign language ability of the members of the Club have also improved a lot. Many members when they first joined the Club were shy, hesitant, and not confident in talking to others. However, when joining the Club and becoming propagandists about the culture and history of the country, they had to change themselves, practice presentation skills, communication skills, and guidance skills to be able to complete the assigned tasks well. There were also friends who were not good at foreign languages, so they joined the Club to study and improve their abilities. Members of the same team always exchange knowledge and help each other improve their foreign language skills. In particular, the Club has opened free foreign language classes to help members have more opportunities to study and use foreign languages fluently.

Guidance and introduction activities at historical and cultural relic sites in Hanoi by members of the Cultural - Historical Propaganda Club

The Cultural - Historical Propaganda Club is always proud to be the student club/team with the largest number of members, talent and good foreign language skills in Hanoi. Not only English, some members can also use Chinese, Korean, Japanese, French, etc. In addition, program, event, communication organization skills, etc. are also cultivated and experienced by members through the club's cooperative events with organizations inside and outside the school.

It can be said that the development of the Cultural - Historical Propaganda Club today is partly due to the support and facilitation from the Board of Directors and teachers of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Not only providing specialized knowledge and skills, the teachers in the school are also the ones who instill love for the homeland, country and pride in the nation's fine historical traditions to the members of the Club. Certainly, with such foundations, the Cultural - Historical Propaganda Club of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will have more impressive results and deserve to be one of the most successful and unique student clubs in Hanoi.
