The Cultural and Historical Propaganda Club: embodies the unique identity of humanities students.

The club is one of the most active and impressive student groups in the field of culture and history in Hanoi. The club's main activities include promoting the image and culture of Vietnam to domestic and international tourists through various means such as introducing and guiding tourists at cultural and historical sites in Hanoi, organizing cultural events, etc.

Besides activities within the school, the Cultural and Historical Propaganda Club also carries out many other professional activities outside the school. Among these, the most regular activity is the club's collaboration with the Hanoi Department of Tourism and the National Museum of History to have members volunteer to support tourism activities and promote the image and culture of Hanoi.

Every Saturday and Sunday, at historical sites such as the Temple of Literature, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, and the National Museum of History, club members are always very enthusiastic and active, leaving many positive impressions on domestic and international tourists. Many foreign tourists, after hearing club members introduce the sites, have expressed great interest and a desire to adopt similar models in their own countries. To achieve these positive results, the members have worked hard to improve their knowledge of history and culture. And most importantly, they always carry with them a passionate love for history and culture, enabling them to overcome difficulties and challenges in their activities.

In addition to weekly activities at historical sites, the club also collaborates with many organizations and businesses to develop meaningful cultural and historical programs. Some examples include "I Row Back to My Homeland," and the "Back to the Roots 2018" series of events.

To Quang Minh, a member of the club, said: “It must be said that club members have many advantages in their activities because they are trained at a leading university in Vietnam in social sciences and humanities. With systematic, scientific, and in-depth training in social sciences and humanities, club members feel somewhat more at ease when delivering long and complex speeches.”

The club's activities are not only a playground but also incredibly vibrant practical classes where members have the opportunity to train, practice, and hone their skills. With a solid foundation of knowledge, members will directly use that knowledge to exchange and introduce information to tourists and friends both domestically and internationally. This makes them remember, understand, and enjoy learning more.

“Many members of the club have participated in scientific research at the school and achieved high results with topics drawn from the very historical sites where they work. President Ho Chi Minh once said: 'Learning must go hand in hand with practice,' perhaps this is a very practical and meaningful opportunity for the members to 'practice'," Tô Quang Minh further shared.

Furthermore, the communication skills and foreign language abilities of the club members have improved significantly. Many members were shy and hesitant when they first joined, lacking confidence in speaking with others. However, after joining the club and becoming propagandists about the country's culture and history, they had to change themselves, practicing presentation skills, communication skills, and guidance skills to successfully complete assigned tasks. Some members whose foreign language skills were not yet strong joined the club to learn and improve their abilities. Members of the same team always exchange knowledge and help each other improve their foreign language skills. In particular, the club has independently opened free foreign language classes to give members more opportunities to learn and use foreign languages proficiently.

The Cultural and Historical Propaganda Club proudly boasts a large membership, exceptional talent, and strong foreign language skills, making it one of the leading student clubs/teams in Hanoi. Beyond English, some members are proficient in Chinese, Korean, Japanese, French, and more. Furthermore, members have honed their skills in program and event organization, communication, and other areas through collaborative events with organizations both within and outside the university.

It can be said that the development of the Cultural and Historical Propaganda Club today is largely due to the support and facilitation from the Board of Directors and the lecturers of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Not only providing specialized knowledge and skills, the lecturers also instilled in the club members a love for their homeland and pride in the nation's rich historical traditions. With such a foundation, the Cultural and Historical Propaganda Club of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will undoubtedly achieve even more impressive results and rightfully be one of the most successful and distinctive student clubs in Hanoi.
