Bow before the souls of national heroes

The delegation of the School Union was led by Dr. Ngo Thi Kieu Oanh (Head of Organization Department, President of the School Union) with the participation of the Standing Committee, professional departments of the School Union, and the executive committee of the union of units, including 34 members. The sacred "Red" addresses in the Central region appeared one after another in the journey "Returning to the source" of the School Union officials. The delegation visited and offered incense at the tomb of General Vo Nguyen Giap (Vung Chua, Quang Binh), the memorial site of heroic martyr Ly Tu Trong (Thach Ha district, Ha Tinh province), the historical site of Dong Loc T-junction (Can Loc district, Ha Tinh province) and the historical site of Truong Bon (Do Luong district, Nghe An province). Meditating beside the evidence, historical stories, and heroic examples, the School union officials and members were more deeply imbued with the value of a peaceful and happy life today.

Dr. Ngo Thi Kieu Oanh shared that these are vivid lessons about revolutionary ideals that each union officer of the School will learn to further improve their political qualities, strive to improve themselves, develop their expertise, and build a prosperous and happy life. At the same time, this activity helps to strengthen the spirit of solidarity, mutual love, and contribute to the development of the School and the education sector.

Innovation in trade union training

Also within the framework of the 2018 “Back to the Source” journey, the School Union organized a training course on professional skills for trade union work. Promoting the spirit of the Resolution of the 30th School Union Congress “Innovation - Democracy - Solidarity - Responsibility”, the training program was dramatized in the form of a question and answer contest with elements of surprise and excitement.

The questions revolve around specific situations, closely following trade union activities. Deep understanding of the regulations of trade union activities in general and the trade union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in particular is to contribute to protecting the legitimate rights and obligations of workers, promoting high efficiency in trade union activities at all levels and building an increasingly strong trade union organization. The training program has a youthful, attractive and interactive color, attracting union members to enthusiastically discuss and exchange.

The “Return to the Source” journey and the professional training program of the Trade Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities have ended, but the deep impressions and good echoes remain in the hearts of each trade union officer.
