Receiving delegation from Humber College (Canada)

At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh expressed his joy at welcoming the delegation from Humber College. The Rector shared about the internationalization strategy of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, through enhancing English-taught programs and expanding cooperation with international partners. The school wishes to exchange and cooperate with Humber College through specific activities such as organizing joint seminars, exchanging students and lecturers, and conducting joint scientific research.

On behalf of the Canadian side, Prof. Alister R. Mathieson expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome of Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh. He said that Humber College is ready to cooperate with USSH to improve the English proficiency of staff, lecturers and students, towards establishing an English Center at the University. Humber College will also coordinate with the University in developing joint postgraduate programs in anthropology, tourism studies, social work, and community development. Humber College also wants to send its students to intern and participate in volunteer activities at USSH.

Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh agreed with the above proposals and committed to creating the best conditions for Humber College interns. The Office of Cooperation and Development will be the main contact point of the University. In addition, the Rector invited Prof. Alister R. Mathieson to attend the international conference on tourism held in September 2018 at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
