During the meeting, Professor Pham Quang Minh expressed his pleasure in welcoming the delegation from Humber College. The Rector shared the internationalization strategy of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, through strengthening English-language teaching programs and expanding cooperation with international partners. The University hopes to exchange and cooperate with Humber College through concrete actions such as organizing joint seminars, student and faculty exchanges, and conducting joint scientific research.
On behalf of Canada, Professor Alister R. Mathieson expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome from Professor Pham Quang Minh. He stated that Humber College is ready to cooperate with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to improve English proficiency for faculty, staff, and students, with the aim of establishing an English Center at the University. Humber College will also collaborate with the University in developing joint postgraduate programs in anthropology, tourism studies, social work, and community development. Humber College also wishes to send its students for internships and volunteer activities at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Professor Pham Quang Minh agreed with the above proposals and pledged to create the best possible conditions for the interns from Humber College. The Cooperation and Development Office will be the main point of contact for the University. In addition, the Rector extended an invitation to Professor Alister R. Mathieson to attend the international conference on tourism to be held in September 2018 at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
