Receiving the delegation from Guangxi University of Science and Technology (China)

The meeting aimed to discuss in more detail the cooperation contents that had been exchanged between the two sides during the visit of the delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan, to Guangxi University of Science and Technology on July 10, 2018.

Specifically, the two universities will co-organize an international scientific conference on research and teaching experiences in political theory subjects at universities in Vietnam and China. Representatives from both sides have exchanged views and agreed on issues such as the venue, number of presentations and delegates, language, and publications after the conference. The conference is scheduled to take place in mid-May 2019 and will be attended by 20 scholars, scientists, and researchers from Vietnam. Outstanding presentations will be published as books or reference materials.

The two sides also discussed promoting the activities of the Center for Vietnamese Language and Culture Research at Guangxi University of Science and Technology. Accordingly, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will send one to two researchers to work at the Center next year to coordinate the implementation of cooperation programs on language, culture, and society, and to promote relations between the two universities, serving the development of both countries. In addition, the two universities will develop a plan to send students majoring in Social Work to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for a semester of study and to conduct joint scientific research projects.

Guangxi University of Science and Technology (QUS) is a public university under the direct administration of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region People's Government (China), established in 1958. From July 5th to 16th, 2018, nearly 100 students and faculty members from the Faculty of Linguistics and the Faculty of Oriental Studies (University of Social Sciences and Humanities) participated in an internship and exchange program at Guangxi University of Science and Technology.
