Amidst the nationwide atmosphere of new students preparing to enroll after the 2018 university and college entrance exams, on August 16th and 17th, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, organized a welcoming ceremony for new students of the QH-2018-X cohort. From early morning, a large number of parents and new students were present at the school, bringing their enrollment documents.

Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Party Secretary, Vice Rector of the University) and Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Vice Rector of the University), along with representatives from various departments, were present to welcome the students and oversee the reception of new students.

As in previous years, to expedite and efficiently carry out the reception and enrollment process, the school has flexibly and scientifically arranged and divided the areas and rooms.

Before starting their studies, new students receive assistance from student volunteers in preparing the necessary documents. Afterward, they proceed to the training department to receive their acceptance letters before completing their enrollment paperwork at the respective department offices.

The Student Affairs and Political Education Department also assists in resolving policy issues during student enrollment and acts as the focal point for arranging a reception area with sunshades, tables, chairs, and drinking water for parents and candidates upon arrival for enrollment.

The Youth Union and Student Association of the university sent their members to enthusiastically participate in welcoming parents and new students. This year, the Union and Association also designed informational leaflets about special activities this semester to help new students easily access the Union and Association's activities.

It is known that immediately after the enrollment ceremony, from August 20th to 27th, new students will begin participating in the orientation week. At the same time, they will also undergo health checkups, complete remaining student registration procedures, elect class representatives, establish temporary student branches and associations, and begin to learn about the training programs of their faculty and major.
