Reception of the Director of the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities, National Dong Hwa University (Taiwan)

Prof. Vuong Dinh Tuan expressed his joy at being warmly welcomed by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. He said that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has organized an international Chinese PhD program and hopes to welcome postgraduate students from the University. The program is a combination of cultural language with the teaching environment of postgraduate students in the local environment, aiming to foster a team of talented people in teaching and researching Chinese. The program has attractive scholarships such as the National Dong Hwa University Scholarship, the Southern Advance Scholarship, and the Taiwan Government Scholarship. In addition, the Chinese Language Center of National Dong Hwa University also hopes to welcome Vietnamese students to Chinese language courses organized by the Center. Prof. Vuong Dinh Tuan also invited the board of directors and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to visit and experience the learning environment at National Dong Hwa University.

On behalf of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan highly appreciated the cooperation between the two universities in the past time, with the most important milestone being the memorandum of understanding signed on March 19, 2018. The Vice President hopes that the two sides will further expand cooperation through joint training programs 2+2, 3+1 with majors such as Sociology, History, Literature. Regarding the sharing and suggestions of Professor Vuong Dinh Tuan, the Vice President pledged that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will select suitable candidates to participate in the programs and courses introduced by the Professor.

National Dong Hwa University was officially established in July 1994, and currently has 8 major institutes and many excellent academic majors. The school is listed in the top 1000 universities in the world, top 200 best universities in Asia according to the 2018 TIME rankings, and ranked in the top 5 best universities in Taiwan.
