The meeting focused on the implementation of the Master's program in Archival Studies and Digitization, a collaboration between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi, and Aix Marseille University, with funding from AUF. The program is expected to begin enrollment at the end of 2020.

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities is also the focal point of the project on the Vietnam Studies Research Documentation Center of Vietnam National University, Hanoi with AUF. During the discussion, Vice Rector Hoang Anh Tuan proposed two aspects of cooperation: Firstly, AUF should provide support to the Center in documentation related to the history of both countries, as documentation from the French side is particularly important in the Vietnam Studies program and this data can be digitized. In addition, AUF could collaborate to organize seminars introducing French sources of documentation on Vietnam. Secondly, AUF could provide financial support and research experts to implement the project to open a Master's program in Archival Studies and Digitization in 2020.

Ms. Hélène DEJOUX, Deputy Director of the AUF Regional Office, agreed to the proposal from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The AUF representative suggested several new training methods suitable for digital technology, such as online training to make the program more accessible to a wider audience. Furthermore, she hoped that the results of this project would serve as a model for AUF to implement in other countries around the world.

Deputy Director Pham Bao Son affirmed that the cooperation program on the Vietnam Research Documentation Center between VNU and AUF is a national-level program and therefore receives utmost attention from VNU. Strengthening cooperation, exchanging research experiences, supporting the training of scientific research staff, and exchanging professional expertise among archivists between the two sides will contribute to the sustainable success of the project.
