
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dinh Duc - Head of Training Department of VNU awarded degrees to new graduates
Attending the graduation ceremony were: Most Venerable Danh Dong - Standing Member of the Executive Committee, Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Kien Giang Province; Most Venerable Thich Minh Nhan - Member of the Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Executive Committee, Principal of the Buddhist College in Kien Giang Province; Most Venerable Thich Phap Tri - Chief Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Kien Giang Province.
On behalf of the leaders of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, there were: Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dinh Duc - Head of the Training Department of VNU; Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Kim Oanh - Head of the Department of Religious Studies; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Ba Trinh - former Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. Also attending the ceremony were Mr. Danh Lam - Head of the Provincial Religious Affairs Department; Mr. Huynh Tien Tam - Head of the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Department, the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department and representatives of local agencies, departments and branches.

In 2016, with the aim of improving professional knowledge and meeting the practical needs of working in the field of Religion in the locality, Kien Giang Provincial Buddhist College cooperated with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to organize enrollment and open a part-time university class in Religious Studies. The class was held at Phat Quang Pagoda, Rach Gia City, Kien Giang Province. During the study period, Phat Quang Pagoda supported the monks, nuns and students with food, accommodation, and study activities to help students have the best learning environment.

Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan, on behalf of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, received the Certificate of Merit from the Managing Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Kien Giang province, presented by Most Venerable Danh Dong.
On behalf of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Kien Giang province, Most Venerable Thich Minh Nhan thanked the teachers for their dedication in traveling far to teach according to the school's regulations, helping students complete the course. The Venerable said: Continuing the success of this course, the Organizing Committee is currently recruiting students for the next course, scheduled to open in 2020.

Venerable Dr. Thich Minh Thinh, Venerable Dr. Thich Tue Giai, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Tri Kim Oanh received the Certificate of Merit from the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Kien Giang province, presented by Most Venerable Dr. Thich Minh Nhan.
Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thi Kim Oanh - Head of the Department of Religious Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities expressed her deep gratitude to the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Kien Giang province and local authorities for their enthusiastic support so that the class could successfully complete its learning tasks and successfully organize today's award ceremony for 74 new bachelors majoring in Religious Studies.

A group of students with outstanding achievements received Certificates of Merit from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
