The 11th Congress of the University's Youth Union, for the term 2022-2024, was a great success.

At 8:00 AM on Saturday, May 14, 2022, the 11th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities officially commenced. The Congress was conducted in two sessions: Session 1 on the morning of May 14, 2022, and Session 2 (the solemn session) in the afternoon of the same day, held in the auditorium on the 8th floor of Building E.

Representing the higher-level Youth Union were: Comrade Truong Ngoc Kiem - Member of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, Secretary of the Youth Union of Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Comrade Vu Thi Minh Hang - Deputy Head of the School Youth Department of the Hanoi City Youth Union; Comrade Hua Thanh Hoa - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Comrade Nguyen Hoang Giang - Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Secretary of the Youth Union of the University of Foreign Languages, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

On behalf of the Party Committee and the School's Board of Directors, the Congress was honored to have the participation and guidance of: Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of the School; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thanh Truong - Standing Committee Member, Head of the Party Committee's Inspection Committee, Vice Rector of the School; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh - Vice Rector of the School.

Together with representatives from the Youth Union of other units, representatives from affiliated units and organizations, representatives from the leadership of functional departments and divisions under the School, former Youth Union officials from various periods, and 200 official delegates representing 8198 youth union members of the School.

In Session 1, the Congress heard a presentation on the topic "Some outstanding issues in organizing volunteer activities and proposed solutions" by Comrade Pham Quang Vu - Head of the Youth Union of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language. At the same time, the Congress also listened to presentations on the topic "Enhancing knowledge of creative entrepreneurship associated with intellectual property rights for students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities" by Comrade Le Thi Phuong Anh - Vice Head of the Community Club for Entrepreneurship Support and Comrade Vu Thi Ha Trang - Head of the Intellectual Property Club of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The opinions of the aforementioned comrades, as well as the suggestions of the delegates attending the Congress, were all constructive and of particular importance to the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement of the university in the context of digital transformation.

Also during Session 1, the Congress proceeded to elect the Executive Committee of the University Youth Union for the 2022-2024 term. After a rigorous vote counting process, the list of 21 elected members of the Executive Committee for the 2022-2024 term was announced. All 21 members are outstanding and enthusiastic Youth Union officials who have made significant contributions to the youth of the Faculty of Humanities. The Congress also directly elected the Secretary of the University Youth Union for the 11th term at the Congress, along with the delegation to attend the Congress of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi Youth Union. After more than 4 hours of effective and serious work, Session 1 of the Congress concluded successfully.

In the afternoon of the same day, the second session of the Congress was held. The atmosphere of the Congress was filled with emotion, and the song "Heal the World" - with its message "Make it a better place for you and for me" - received enthusiastic responses from all delegates attending the Congress.

The Congress approved the report on the results of Session 1 and the work program for Session 2. Comrade Tran Bach Hieu - Secretary of the School's Youth Union, 10th term, represented the Executive Committee of the School's Youth Union, 10th term, and presented the summary report for the 2019-2022 term. Although the Youth Union's work at the school in particular and the activities of the youth of the Faculty of Humanities in general were severely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Youth Union movement still achieved many impressive accomplishments and bore a strong humanistic imprint in various fields: volunteer activities, academic activities, etc.

In Session 2, the Congress continued to listen to presentations with high practical value: the presentation "Practices and some solutions for implementing support for learning and scientific research of the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi (Case study of the WE PASS model and the Green Torch Student Scientific Research Award)" by Comrade Nguyen Kim Tung - Member of the Executive Committee of the Youth Union, 10th term, and the presentation "Enhancing digital capacity for youth union members" by Comrade Nguyen Thuy Duong - Vice Head of the Digital Version of the Humanities Club.

Also in session 2, the new Executive Committee of the School Youth Union officially introduced itself to the Congress. Comrade Ta Thi Bich Ngoc - Secretary of the School Youth Union of the 11th term - represented the committee in a speech and expressed the high determination of the Executive Committee in the new term.

In addition, the Congress also experienced emotional moments as it paid tribute to the former Executive Committee and bid farewell to comrades who had been involved in the activities of the School Youth Union during the past term. Comrade Tran Bach Hieu - Secretary of the School Youth Union, term X, represented the former Executive Committee and delivered a speech, inspiring the new Executive Committee.

The Congress also received insightful and meaningful guidance from senior leaders. Dr. Truong Ngoc Kiem, Secretary of the Youth Union of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, highly appreciated the achievements of the University's Youth Union Executive Committee in the past term, and affirmed that the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has always been proactive and made many practical proposals and innovations. In addition, Dr. Truong Ngoc Kiem expressed his hope that in the new term, the University's Youth Union Executive Committee will continue to focus on and improve the quality of Youth Union activities and youth movements.

Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, the Rector of the University, further emphasized the spirit of solidarity in the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement. At the same time, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan also expressed his hope that the spirit of "Humanism as the foundation, modernity as the trend" will continue to be promoted and implemented even more strongly among the youth of the Faculty of Humanities.

After two productive and serious working sessions, the 11th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities officially concluded at 5:00 PM on the same day.
