On April 19, 2008, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the Student Association of the school coordinated with the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion to organize a humanitarian blood donation program. This was an activity in response to the National Humanitarian Blood Donation Day on April 7 and continued the 77-day peak emulation campaign to achieve the highest achievements launched by the Youth Union and Student Association of the school.

Attending the opening ceremony were Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Hoi Loan - Party Committee member, Head of the Department of Politics and Student Affairs. Immediately after the opening ceremony, the school's Youth Volunteer Team together with members of the 7/4 Club (National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion) instructed volunteers on how to fill out the registration form and the blood donation process.

According to preliminary statistics, there were about 250 registrations for this blood donation campaign. In addition to students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, there were also a number of volunteers from the University of Natural Sciences. Learning from previous campaigns, this year's program was organized all day to meet the wishes of all volunteers. However, due to limited resources, the doctors at the Institute of Hematology could only receive 124 units of blood.

Regardless of whether it was their first time donating blood or they had donated blood many times, the volunteers were all very happy and confident. It can be said that with their youthful energy and volunteer spirit for a humane goal, the volunteers turned the actual program into a festival.
